Hey 92 don't worry about Chi town. He is a grumpy closed minded person. I know how big donors can become friendly with coaches and if you have info then please put it on here. People love to act like if they don't believe it then it has to be false. Please keep doing it and don't worry about grumpy closed minded fools

Yeah keep posting 92, some guys get jealous of anybody who has inside info. You might have said already, but do you think we will sign 2 qbs this class?

Maybe, it just depends on who commits. I can see them taking Brunetti or Bray. They think they can turn Brunetti or Bray by signing day. I see them taking one of those, and maybe taking Newton if there is any interest on his part. They may take a shot on Munchie, because Coach Reaves really likes him as a athlete.

I'm not trying to bash at all. All I said was that his statement of how good a coach clawson is compared to Reaves by watching a few spring practices is VERY flawed. The fact remains, is that Clawson is thought well of in the coaching circles that he is a head coach and Reaves is a qb coach.

Who thinks well of Clawson in the coaching circles? Yes he is a head coach, but hasn't been successful against high quality football. I'm not arguing that Reaves has. I don't know anything about the way Reaves coaches. I just konw you are not going to find many around here that doesnt have Clawson at the bottom of their coach rankings.

I think they are just throwing out rumors hoping to strike gold. All they have to say if nothing happens is their source was wrong. But if they throw the rumor out there first and it comes true then they earn some credibility. I do believe we will get QB or 2 for this class and it might happen in the next couple weeks. If we do it will have something to do with WR commits, not some rumor on Sports talk.

Despite what UT fans may think of him, Clawson has been the head coach at 2 colleges. Reaves has been no more than a QB coach. Secondly, after a losing season, Clawson was hired at BG.

Regardless of all this, to claim you can evaluate coaches by watching a few spring practices is crazy.

You still didn't answer my question. Who thinks of him highly in coaching circles? BG, because they hired him I wouldnt consider him thought of highly. He must give one hell of an interview if you ask me. I wasn't comparing Reaves anyway. The better comparison would be Chaney and Clawson. Chaney's past experience with QBs is hands down better than Clawson.

I wish Clawson well though, he seemed like a nice guy. It just didnt work out here.

Clawson is still thought of as a very talented OC despite what happened here. The comparison was Clawson and Reaves.

It wasn't just because he was related to kiffin, stop saying that. He worked under Spurrier and he has recruiting ties in NC and SC.

He probably wasn't looking for a new job just yet, but if your brother-in-law offers you a job with similar pay, you better take it, if nothing else but to keep the peace. I would be willing to bet he was happy to get away from USClite. Ole ball coach won't be there much longer anyway. Who cares how he got the job as long as he does a dang good job at it for us.

And we see how great the QBs at USCe are. I dont see schools begging to interview Reaves. My main point to all of this is...........watching a few spring practices doesnt give you the information to make the statement you did about Reaves vs Clawson. Take up for Reaves all you want, but basically you would just be making things up at that point.

This QB thats 6-7 and we desparatel.y need him because he is going to be special. We already offered him and he really likes us. We are by far the biggest school that has offered him, but now he will probably wait a bit to see what other offers he can get. Hes coming to visit for the UCLA game because he wants to see what **** looks like GAMEDAY in big orange country. This kid rocks.
