fulmer apparently coached her on accent.I didn't like it at all. The book was much better than the movie.
The movie was ruined for me the minute I heard Sandra Bullock's horrific attempt at a southern accent.
Good lord. A high school athlete that isn't a saint? Or the fact that Hollywood embellishes someone's virtues? If you can't live with either of those I suggest you avoid movies all together because 99.9% of them are "lies". Maybe you should stick to movies about Gandhi?Personally I'm boycotting this movie and think everyone else should as well. I went to high school at the same time as Oher at a school a few miles down the road. I knew a lot of the same people as he did that went to his high school and those of them that have read the book tell me if not a complete fabrication, it is filled with half-truths. The teachers often helped him by cheating on tests and he is completely glorified in this movie. Personally, I think that alone makes this movie a complete waste and I won't be sending my money to someone spreading a lie.
In your statement you seem to imply that it is (in certain instances) OK for a teacher to cheat. As a former educator I have to say that it is never OK to help a student in that way. I wouldn't do it no matter the circumstances. He might have cheated, and participated in a illegal activties... What football player hasn't? I mean of course there are feel good stories that might be cleaner than oher's, but he went from not having a bed, mom, dad, clothes, or edcation. If teachers were helping him cheat it would probably be better for him to get a chance to attend college and make it in life.
I think you just need to Quit being jealous about the fact you were the redneck he threw over the fence. (joke)
