Your statement is what I interpreted - thanks. It’s not what he said. The conference championships can definitely shake things up. He meant teams like Ole Miss, USCjr, and Miami had no way of passing bama ahead of them since none of them were playing. Basically those guys are eliminated and there is a possibility bama could be as well after Saturday.
Believe Clay Travis nailed it. SEC wants Bama in and Big 10 wants OSU to host. Trade off for both teams and we get screwed out of hosting as it stands today.
We need to send Day his walking papers, then plant the biggest T flag we can find in the middle of wretched shite stain of a stadium. Should be no greater motivation than to humiliate Ohio State again at their home. That's about the biggest Fu they could do to Tennessee.. Couple weeks ago we had to play UGA staring at 3 losses and just about forgotten if we hand them a 3rd loss. To this having to go on the road to columbus with Ryan Day's job on the line. They hate Tennessee and this shat confirms it.
I don’t think so. Bama can’t move up. So they would have to drop SMU for losing to a top 20 team.
SMU wouldn’t be penalized persay. Them losing to Clemson means Clemson HAS to leap them as a conference champ. They should still be in the playoff but they can’t be ranked over their conference champ. That’s not penalizing them for losing. It’s accommodating Clemson into the field per the rulesbut I thought it was said that a team would NOT be penalized for playing in the championship game! If they drop SMU completely out, then they had better be prepared to drop the loser of Oregon / PSU and Texas / Georgia in relation to Notre Dame, OSU and Tennessee. And this would move Indiana and others up which is not supposed to happen.
The rules will change next week as to how they need them to change to obtain the matchups they want to see.
They're keeping Alabama in..I mean Indiana is still in this field so they obviously want a 50/50 split. While giving Tennessee the toughest path of all. Bama shouldn't even be there.Wanna bet lol. If it means keeping Cinderella Bama in you bet your ass they will say f the data points.
Smu loses...they out imo
