I think the whole "he's a HOFer just because he's a Manning" is a bit unfair.Looking forward to his Hall of Fame speech.
I carried a lot of water for him in here and was roasted for doing so, so yes it’s going to be oh so sweet.

Even if he was Eli Smith, he still was around forever, put up good numbers, and won 2 rings on a big market team. I think he'd still get in. It'd be even more of a debate, but I bet he still gets in.
1000% would. If he had won 2 rings with Jacksonville, he wouldn’t be in the hall of fame
If he had won 2 rings with New York and beat the Chargers and Titans, he wouldn’t be in the hall of fame
If he had won 2 rings and they won their two SB’s by 10 points and then 13 points, he wouldn’t be in the hall of fame.
The fact he won 2 SB’s with the New York Giants defeating the greatest dynasty (and an undefeated team) and greatest QB of all time that took 2 ridiculous plays for him to accomplish to win those games with a famous last name, he’s gonna get in. A perfect storm
Of the bolded statements, the only one that I think might not be true is the last one. The second one I go back and forth on. The single biggest reason for his HOF candidacy is he won 2 SBs as the starting QB for a big market team. Another huge component is who he beat in those 2 SBs, but even if he beat anonymous franchises as the Giants QB, I lean towards him still being in.1000% would.
The only ELIGIBLE QB that has multiple SBs that isn't in the HOF is Jim Plunkett.
Eli, Big Ben, Brady and Mahomes are locks.
He's 11th in NFL history in both passing yards and TDs. 14th in wins (though his record is 117-117).

McNair would be in the HOF if he played all/most of his career for the Giants, Jets, Steelers, or Cowboys. They'd really play up the toughness/leadership angle, and he'd get in even with no SB.I disagree. He is top 11 all time in the major counting stats. And while his regular season stats alone put him outside the HOF, 2 SB rings hold a lot of weight. And that would hold true regardless of what team he played on. I mean there a lot of Titan fans who think McNair should be in the HOF and Eli's stats are far superior to his.

I know McNair only played until he was 34, but in those years he was much more durable than Cunningham was. Once he became the starter, McNair only missed significant time in 2 seasons, with one of those being his very last season.Check again man. He had a very nice 4 year run in the middle of his career. But most other years he was very average (or below average). And he was done by age 34. The counting stats just aren't there for McNair.
Randall Cunningham had a nearly identical career to McNair in raw stats AND he played for Philly. He's not in the HOF.
