The Bruce Pearl Rally (merged)

This quote is awesome: "I'm just wondering if the higher-ups at UT who are prepared to let Pearl go are going to attend church this moring, listen to the preacher talk about forgiveness, then come back this afternoon with the orders for Hamilton to fire Pearl."

I love hypocrisy by facebook posters.

I just glad to know that we have so many nonliars living in Big Orange Country. I used to believe that everyone lied at some point in time in their life. The fervor in denouncing a liar has given me new hope for humanity. It is good to know that we have many without fault who can cast the first stone.

How many of those people have lied to the governing body of their profession?

If I said you always post brilliant thoughts in here that would be a lie but it wouldn't cost the University of Tennessee any sanctions.

Of course everyone lies. Not everyone lies to their boss about a silly violation, tell his asst.'s to lie for him, risking their jobs, then call parents of recruits to lie, and then call kids to lie for him. Not only that, not everyone realizes they are caught three months later and then tries to tell everyone in the media he had a change of heart. Not everyone then goes to the media and cry and promise to behave forever and ever. Then, not everyone later commits a violation four days later that everybody in their profession knows about, and not tell anybody till the NCAA was tracking, because they didn't trust him. Now...how many people have done that?

I'm sure none, and I personally know that no one lies in court. They are even under oath and no one would want to commit perjury.

And if you get caught, guess what happens........

You go to jail.

Not suggesting that actions don't have have consequences. I guess it just is good to know that BP is being judged by his peers.

Yeah, I hate it when someone tries to turn someone into the NCAA for paying players to play. Look at all the trouble that got Fulmer in for turning Bama in. Probably best just to let it go on.

Who was paying players?

U of I's coach. However, I believe he was cleared by the NCAA, since the taped admission was not enough proof of an NCAA vlolation. Poor coach, did resign. I could be wrong about Bama aquiring players with money. I doubt that Bama has the inclination or the MEANS to resort to that type of action.
