Allsome. Id post on there but I dont want anyone to know I joined.

Two things:

1) I don't want my FB friends thinking I support his staying here.

2) They just kick you off if you disagree with them.

That's absolutely not true. When people start the "everybody lies" argument, they clearly don't have a grasp of the situation. If they articulate a reasonable opinion just like the guy did in this thread, I'll just say I disagree but it's reasonable.

I articulate he stays and you articulate he goes, over and over. Neither of us knows at this point. It is what we each want.

Again, Where do you get your authority to tell us what Haslam and others are thinking? Where and when did they speak? Remember Hambone had to apologize so he was not speaking for them.

If you think he's going to stay...then I don't know what to tell you. The writing in on the wall.

I wold like to see that "wall". Euphemism does not equal fact.

Chris Low reporting Pearl was gone, then retracting it. Hubbs saying that Pearl is probably gone. The team starting to suck after the Bump violation became known to the AD. The lack of energy he has had all year. I think it's obvious.

Look, this is going to hurt. So I'll be nice.

Your opinion doesn't matter. My opinion doesn't matter. Hat's opinion doesn't matter. It's up to the chancellor the BOT, and Jim Haslam. Either you can't stand to look at Pearl, or believes he should be banned from coaching for life, it doesn't matter. The higher ups have spoken, and they have given him the hook. It's done with.

Thank you, Captain Obvious. Like everyone didn't know that already. It doesn't keep people from stating their opinion, nor does it make them bad people.

Additionally, if the higher ups have spoken and have given him the hook, please supply the link.

No, I don't assume that at all. What I do see is a lot of folks who do still support him.... despite what some on here would have you to believe. What I want personally is what is best for the program. I freely admit that I am deeply disappointed in Pearl for his actions and expect more from our coach. But is firing him best for the program? Are his "sins" really as bad has the media would have us to believe?

By NCAA standards, yes. Research what happens to coaches who receive the unethical conduct charge. NCAA bylaw 10.1 I believe. Show cause penalty is a career killer.

It was on radio, so no, I don't have a link. He did later retracted his statement, which was odd. There was a thread earlier this week on it.

ok thanks.....low seems reliable, very strange he retracted his statement, it seems like nobody knows.

This is just awesome:

"As a recent alumnae, I am so glad to see so much support for Coach Pearl."

I would hope a rally for Bruce Pearl support would go along the lines of the people there want Pearl to stay.

The guess seems to be he heard from a source, and then the source might have called him and ringed him out for letting it go before the tourney.

.55% of Thompson-Boling capacity joining to yell for what I can only believe lasted less than 30 minutes...I don't think publicity for that is going to affect Hamilton's job. If a mob's encouragement could change anything, there would have been at least 6-800 people

I would hold my tongue if I were you guys. This rally was held during Spring Break. All the students are vacationing and 100 miles away from the campus now. We'll get a better picture of his support when they start the student-led rallies next week.

i agree. But Hammy doesn't survive the BP firing. He sealed his fate this past week... and public sentiment continues to grow against him.
