The cancel culture is getting out of control

A school district in Montgomery County, Pennsylvania is cancelling it's traditional Halloween parade because of inclusivity complaints. It seems conservative christians don't allow their children to participate. The school district felt it was unfair to have the parade if those children had to sit in the library during the parade as has been the tradition. They also claim security concerns, but it is acknowledged the complaints were the main reason.

Seems the right wing practices cancel culture as well, doesn't it?
If you weren't so lazy and used google you'd find out that montgomery county ,pa. Is predominately a dem stronghold in recent years. You just assumed that it was conservatives in the article( it doesnt state either). Now you made an a$$ out of yourselve.

Detroit School District Votes to Remove Dr. Ben Carson's Name From High School

Detroit’s school board has voted to remove Dr. Ben Carson’s name from a district school, citing Carson’s involvement with the Trump administration.

Benjamin Carson High School of Medicine and Science will be renamed after a poll that revealed 80% of the 1,500 people polled agreed the name should be changed. Dr. Carson told The National Desk he is not surprised by the move.
“Cancel culture is alive and well. It’s infiltrating. Political correctness, wokeness, cancel culture, this is going to destroy us as a nation if we don’t get a grip on it.”

The rainbow is a nod to the original album cover. It's always been there.

I assume half the dumb things I see online from either left or right or not real. Plenty of enjoy pretending to be the other and posting nonsense.

But I agree with you anyone who is seriously upset (I doubt it’s even 1% on the right) by this is an absolute idiot.

I was about to post the same thing ... The funny thing about this, is those idiots on Twitter are finding "wokeness" where it doesn't exist. There was a rainbow prism on the original cover! It's not an homage to gay pride.

.... and I can listen to the guitar solo on "Time" all day long. Richard Wright had the vocals on this track. RIP.

I love these Twitter comments, "I liked Pink Floyd before they started putting rainbows on things."

It was on the 1973 cover! It has nothing to do with gay pride.

The right has become so sensitive to anything resembling "woke" culture, that they are too quick to take offense to things that have nothing to do with political correctness or public displays of acceptance and tolerance.

@n_huffhines beat me to it. I was looking forward to roasting some marsh mellows in here.

More from Pink Floyd's "gay pride album" ... LOL.

I've always thought it was cool how Pink Floyd would record segue songs ... It worked better here, at the 3;50 mark, than anything on The Wall (including Happiest Days of Our Lives/Another Brick in the Wall Part 2.)

Also ... and I bet you knew this :

The rainbow prism design was chosen for the "Dark Side of the Moon" album cover, as a subtle clue to the album's synchronization with The Wizard of Oz (Somewhere, Over the Rainbow).

You’re taking random fb users who may or may not be real and pretending they represent the right in general or as a whole. The vast majority don’t care about this. That’s the difference in right and left wing “cancel culture”.

If one side has >50% participation and the other has far, far less, you can’t pretend the two are the same.

As much as we have heard about this so-called "War on Christmas" for close to 20 years now? The right-wing cares .... a lot.

Let’s stay on topic. Do you think the majority of the right are upset about a rainbow on an old album?
No, but I do think that a good portion of the right is easily agitated by anything that even hints of "woke culture," and I think the gay pride rainbow flag is one of the more prominent symbols that stirs their emotions.

In some cases, such as this, you will see some conservatives get angry over things they obviously know nothing about.

Lmao. You never once cared when it wasn't a majority of the left on the other side of cancel culture. You are such a fraud.

Then why is left wing cancel culture so effective? It’s either because the majority go along with it or because those in power.

Either way neither a majority of the gop or those in power within the gop are upset by this.
