In 1977, Joe Biden did say that certain desegregation policies would force his children to grow up in a racial jungle. I'm not defending that at all ...
... but the "N***er Big Shots" line lacks some much needed context.
Joe Biden was quoting racist comments when he used the N-word in 1985
He was quoting someone else.
Mixed feelings on this. On the one hand, there are far bigger things for the military to be worried about than a place name. On the other hand, there is something to be said about culture and tradition I suppose.
I blame the military veterans and current soldiers for allowing this to happen. however. These guys will go halfway around the world to kill people they don't know or have a beef with and bring freedom and democracy to them, yet won't do s#!t right here at home to fight the people here that are ruining this country. Their hate for Russians, Iranians, Syrians or whoever is stronger than their disdain for the people in their homeland that are destroying the country. I just don't understand these military folks and their logic.
Songs are subjective to the listener. Seems personal preferenceThe same "you can't cancel us!!!!!!!" crowd currently bragging about a bad Aldean song shooting up the charts to own the libs
Morgan Wallen didn’t get popular because he said the “N” word. He was pretty well known well before that. He most definitely got more exposure after that, but to say that he is as popular with fans because of that is just ignorant. Check the downloads on Apple Music and ITunes and you will see that. All his concerts sell out pretty much immediately also.
“more popular” in that someone listened and learned from their mistake…he took accountability, his fans supported him and not letting those on the left pick and choose what they get to cancel. Kind of like Jason Aldean….wasn’t it not too long ago that Xxxtancion produced a video of a white kid public hanging in an auditorium? It was, but somehow not canceled. No one said these or doubted that he's a popular artist with music people like. I simply said he got more popular immediately after using the N word in a similar "take that, cancel culture" atmosphere, which is what happened, and that it's funny for people to brag about things like this
Luke Bryan Did Not Ask For CMT to Pull His Videos – BillboardYou're a fake person to us. Nobody can be so dumb believing the things you post..
Biden has always been a gaffe machine ... but Obama didn't read any malice into Biden's remarks, and I doubt there was any.
Jesse Jackson did take offense to it .... but he also said that he didn't believe that there was any racist intent behind it. It's just the kind of clumsy and stupid thing that Biden says.Of course. No person of any race could possibly take offense at being touted for bein "bright and articulate and good-looking and clean." No racist tropes there.
Well, maybe Shirley and Jesse and Al and others mightly be slightly offended, since Joseph maintained that Barack was the first African-American candidate for the job to possess the qualities he so admires in a good African-American. It's a puzzle to figure out which of those qualities (if not all) were lacking in previous candidates. Maybe Shirley wasn't clean enough to suit Joe.
(In his defense, he did explain that he grew up hearing his grandmother..or mother?...often using the term "clean as a whistle." Yep, that's a term we have all used to describe...people. Makes perfect sense.
He should have just blamed it on his stutter.).
Seriously? Jeff Foxworthy made a pretty successful career out of telling redneck jokes ... and his biggest fans are his targets.
Are you serious right now? Ice cube made a successful career by using the n word. So did Katt Williams.Seriously? Jeff Foxworthy made a pretty successful career out of telling redneck jokes ... and his biggest fans are his targets.
