same principal... you dont fire a coach after a bad season (not that you can consider our current state a bad season if we make the tourney).

Weren't we predicted to finish 4th in the sec. e this year? We're right on track. we should be elated!!

A lot of people here thinking UT is some basketball powerhouse for some reason. If only Pearl wasn't here we'd be winning championships every year. Oh wait, no we wouldn't. We'd be making the NCAA tourney once or twice a decade again.

Don't bring up the past of UT basketball on here. The 'experts' who are all clamoring for BP to be drawn and quartered are proud of that history. They want a return to it asap. Ask any of them and they all could tell you how much better UT basketball would be without Pearl. In fact several of them should apply once he is shown the door. Now that would be funny........

Those that think a panic lie about a bbq is horrid are clueless. I coached AAU ball in Memphis in the late 90's. I could write a book, especially in regards to things being set up for kids while on the road playing ball in different cities during summer travel. If other stuff comes out, I will reevaluate and he may have to go, but if he goes for only what we know to be true it's a travesty.

I think a coach getting himself suspended for a year by lying about a simple secondary violation is horrid.

I think a coach losing 2 out of the 3 recruits he committed that secondary violation for is horrid.

Agree 100%. It was stupid, which is why I assume he panicked or had a few too many. If was the day of the UT/Fla game and UT won. He was tailgaiting with fans for several hours before the game and was enjoying himself pretty early.

Does UT have a contract on the table that Pearl won't sign? I thought it was the other way around, Pearl sent in his contract adjustments to get approval by UT but UT won't do anything contract wise until the NCAA rules.
