Good point. The fact that he doesn't have a contract and is likely facing a year suspension doesn't really mean anything.

We are not saying he is the only coach, but if you look at current active coaches he is in the top percentages for win percentage and serveral other coaching stats

That wasn't my point...I wasn't comparing Pearls record to that of Roy Williams. I was simply pointing out that to say Pearl should be fired soley because his team is underperforming is rediculous. If you think he should be gone because of the NCAA issues that is fine and I halfway agree with that notion, but those that say he is a bad coach should look back at the history of Tennessee BBall and realize that it has never been better.

You should probably have used another example, then. Pointing towards a guy with a fist full of diamonds on his national championship rings and a mantle full of final four trophies in order to paint Bruce in a better light probably isn't the best strategy.

Whatever, sorry you took offense to it. Not trying to "paint Bruce in a better light" he's a big boy, he can defend himself. I was simply saying that the people who think that he should lose his job just because the team isn't playing as well as they think they should need to lighten up.

It's time for you to go. It's almost impossible to even remotely be positive in regards to anything UT Men's B-Ball right now. He hasn't had a player drafted since he's been here, and hasn't developed anyone over their original talent before they got to UT. I'm completely done with Bruce, and all you Bruce Sheep can go follow your shepherd somewhere else. If you like what your watching our team do game in and game out, then you must not know good b-ball when you see it. It takes great coaching along with great talent to win, and we don't have either one right now. Tobias has got to be yelling at himself for coming here.

****. If Bruce goes, so does anymore possible elite 8 appearances. He has helped revolutionize UT basketball. He brings in NBA talent.

If Mike Hamilton is as good with money as people say he is, we won't have a problem hiring a good coach with the facilities we have and a relatively easy league to win in. Bruce has brought us a long way, but he's not the coach to lead us to a NC, period.
