Rod Beck is 29-years old in this picture, but he looks like a 48-year old bricklayer who just took a break in the pickup with a Thermos full of Hormel Chili and a honey bun. He’ll be in the porta-potty for 20 minutes before he gets back to work, and 3 empty Coors Banquet cans will roll out the door with him. Come Friday, he’ll cash his check at K-Mart, buy a carton of Dorals and some Old Spice, and head to The Thirsty Beaver to play pool and arm wrestle.

When I worked downtown Chicago we had a guy leaving the company so we took him to a Cubs game as a good bye. We get there early for refreshment purposes. We see/hear this commotion out in the bleachers and there goes Harry strolling down the steps with his shirt tail pulled out and buttons misaligned, and a mug of beer in each hand - as if the bleacher bums needed an excuse to party. Always liked eating at his namesake restaurant and see all the memorabilia.

We could certainly use him, I think Cashman’s ego took a big hit with Ohtani, last season.
So I could easily see him overpaying for Soto.
With that said, the Yankees are fools if they don’t find a way to keep him AND Judge!

Judge done got his payday, don't think they will pay 2 players $40 + million a year.

Still, I try every way possible to keep him.
I’m looking forward the Yanks/O’s tonight.
If you haven’t watched Gunnar Henderson this season, do yourself a favor and watch him.
He’s having a great year and this series is a great one to follow up the Dodgers/Phillies, if you’re into watching superstars!

Don't know why I torment myself going to watch the Dodgers probably lose their 5th game in a row tonight. All Star break can't get here fast enough.

Edit: already behind 2-0 piss on this season.
