I’ve got a just turned nine year old who wants to play baseball next spring. Neither of us has ever played competitively. Anyone have any tips/resources to prepare him well? He’s got a bat and balls and a glove, and we’ve got a diamond nearby we can use

Most rec leagues have a fall ball. There’s no tournament at the end. They usually consist of some practices and a few games. The games are more like scrimmages. I’d start there where isn’t as much pressure.
