This is stupid. Crompton may be bad but like someone said, if Stephens can't beat him out then he must be even worse. Also this makes the second coaching staff that has decided JC is better...I hear in practice his nickname is pick six Nick

I dont know why stephens doesnt just quit the team, I mean hes worse than crompton right? if you arent better than jc then you just have no buisness suiting up at all, its obvious alot of people on here hope he never plays a down

What are you trying to get at? For 2 years Stephens has had a fair chance to win this starting job. He didn't beat out Crompton with two different staffs. He could certainly just quit the team but people who can't beat out the starting QB are called backups.

What I REALLY didn't like was in the 2nd half, he got sacked for a loss and just lay there and tossed the ball up in the air. Not out of frustration - he tossed it as if to say "Well, I did my job and it's not my fault the linemen can't block them." He tossed the ball on the ground as if he didn't care and couldn't wait to get off the field.

I want an enthusiastic quarterback, not an apathetic one. I'm sure others saw this and thought the same thing.

I wasnt about to read through all of these pages but i found some stats that are interesting to me.

Last year with one of the worst offenses in Tennessee history Nick Stephens against Georgia & Alabama combined went 29-58, 345yds 4tds 0ints. The completion percentage doesnt look good but he had ZERO ints against Bama or Georgia. Thats taking care of the football & managing the game exactly what we needed against UCLA & Florida.

Oh the kid has to know he sucks. I have never in my life seen a QB more incompetent. If he is the best QB we have then Nick Stephens must be absolutely horrible. We cannot win games with Crompton and that is obvious to anyone who watches him play.

Seriously, this is football. Not even comparable to Germany, Japan, etc. Crompton is our best option at quarterback, otherwise our VERY experienced coaching staff would not have him as the starter. Why is this so hard to understand???
