Where do you get Crompton being a poor qb= CLK not knowing what he is doing?
You are jumping to a conclusion that was never there. Your right CLK will put the best option out there under center, the problem is that "best option" isn't a very good qb by any stretch of the imagination.
Crompton may very well get better as a qb as the year goes by. There are two things that are very obvious to me about him #1) He doesn't know his limitations and makes poor decisions with the ball #2) He is not have the "team leader" quality that you look for at qb.
I have been to the WKU and UCLA games this year and have not booed Crompton once. I came to the realization long ago that the kid is not any good, so no need for me to pile on with the other rednecks at the game that boo the kid every play...
This sums up Crompton:
Me and my friends that watched the Ohio game at my house stood up and cheered when Crompton looked off his primary read and completed a pass to a secondary reciever.
I saw him do it with the screen pass to BB as well. However, I would challenge anyone to watch the ending of the Bengals/Steelers game last night. On the game winning drive Palmer was staring down every receiver he through to... including the game winning TD. It's obviously easier to go through a progression when you have time in the pocket, but on short routes/slants/etc. it's just a quick release.
