The George Floyd Monument

I will not defend slavery. It is wrong and should not be a part of any culture, but it has been a part of EVERY culture/civilization at some point in time.

With that being said.......Southern AND Northern slave owners were not trying to systematically wipe blacks off the map...............Like those you mentioned. BIG difference.
And .....the Great Emancipator wanted to gather all blacks and ship them back to Africa

You missed the point. The comparison to the Nazi's was relegated to the symbolism of whether the Jews would be offended by giant bronze statues erected in reverence to the authors of the holocaust just as the blacks are offended by the erection and continued reverence to the actors that took place to their people's oppression. It's not a pissing contest between slave owners and the SS.

Fine.

Take down the Washington Monument, Jefferson Memorial, rename all the cities with slave holders names, as well as colleges, streets, any monument from anyone that ever owned a slave. Yankees included.

Not just the ones in the south

Spare me the indignation of repeating "whitesplaining" what the black community is openly pissed off about.

The black guy was talking about the stars and bars being a christian symbol, but yeah - hang your hat on a black guy cosplaying a confederate soldier rambling about the christian pillar of the confederacy.

You trying to frame this about me not having the cred to repeat what the black community is OPENLY pissed off about is disingenuous to the conversation.
It’s just one old black Christian guy. The younger generations will act like you think they should.

I’ll let the black community speak for itself. It doesn’t need my help and it definitely doesn’t need yours. A4510696-9A8B-453F-869D-C40F42738244.jpeg

Well ….ya that too.

Speaking of the BLM movement eventhough we have a separate thread for it, there are a few things I noticed immediately when state run tv started giving them air time years ago.

* There were more white folks marching in the protest than black folks. Basically there were 0 legitimate black leaders.

* There were a bunch of gay pride and lgbtq signs mixed in with a few black lives matter.

* They often chanted derogatory things.

* If this is in fact more about lgbtq, and turns out it was, this is another sinister movement hiding under the cloak of the 60's civil rights movement to advance its causes.

Very easy for the eye and critical thinking to see unless you were in on the hoax or a useful idiot.

Definitely not here but I know where I am posting.

Why in the world would a white person find a monument of GF done in good taste offensive?
Because he was a tasteless piece of **** of a human being? A scurge of society?

Bro, you posted copy pasta.

I'd say you were the useful idiot, but that would imply your not being useless.

The biggest mistake during reconstruction was not putting Jefferson Davis, Robert E Lee, Nathan Bedford Forrest, and every other leading confederate figure's head on a spike.

You obviously don’t know real history to have made such a stupid statement. All three of those men help cement that “the war is over” had you been in charge the war would have rekindled in less than 20 years. Martyrs make heroes,

I see a lot of white people at the statue protest not a lot of black people in those videos.

the point is there’s more than one opinion in the black community. You whitesplaing what black people think has little to no value. That black mans opinion on that subject carries a lot more weight than yours.

You’re wrong.

Black people cannot speak or think for themselves. Haven’t you seen the love that democrats give to black people when they leave the plantation?! They have all kinds of pet names for them. “Coon” “Uncle Tom” “race traitor”. They even playfully tell them that their black card has been revoked.

Black people should never speak out on things that are happening in their communities. That’s why we have white liberals.

There is foolishness and ignorance. This statement on historical events and the implications is simply too ignorant to be foolish. Congratulations, you've lowered a bar I didn't even consider possible.
