You are a confused and deluded soul. You'd think someone who claims to have lost family members in the Holocaust wouldn't be a good ole boy apologist for slavery and genocide.

I did some digging because something didn't seem right in several posts.

After reviewing multiple police reports and local and national news stories, I find no information that corroborates the accusation that George Floyd held or pointed a gun at a pregnant woman.

During an armed robbery in the early 2000s, one of his co-conspirators did point a gun at the belly of a pregnant woman while Floyd looked for valuables. This fact has likely been conflated in the retelling and has been spread intentionally through inaccurate memes, including by police officers.

If you're going to denigrate a man for really bad choices earlier in his life, at least get the facts right.

Yea, one has proven to hold a gun to a pregnant women one has not. You're as bad as Floyd is. When you support a a person that holds a gun to the belly of a pregnant woman, you support that behavior. You're a pathetic human being.

How far back do you need to go? The man was high on drugs when he was arrested, it's not like he was a boy scout selling jamboree tickets. The man was a thug and had a criminal record. I guess they should have just gave him a pat on the but and sent him on his way.

For whoever said the Civil War was not about slavery: you're partially right. It was about States Rights. To have slaves.

From Georgia's articles of secession:
The people of Georgia having dissolved their political connection with the Government of the United States of America, present to their confederates and the world the causes which have led to the separation. For the last ten years we have had numerous and serious causes of complaint against our non-slave-holding confederate States with reference to the subject of African slavery. They have endeavored to weaken our security, to disturb our domestic peace and tranquility, and persistently refused to comply with their express constitutional obligations to us in reference to that property, and by the use of their power in the Federal Government have striven to deprive us of an equal enjoyment of the common Territories of the Republic.

And Mississippi:
Our position is thoroughly identified with the institution of slavery-- the greatest material interest of the world. Its labor supplies the product which constitutes by far the largest and most important portions of commerce of the earth. These products are peculiar to the climate verging on the tropical regions, and by an imperious law of nature, none but the black race can bear exposure to the tropical sun. These products have become necessities of the world, and a blow at slavery is a blow at commerce and civilization.

And South Carolina:
We affirm that these ends for which this Government was instituted have been defeated, and the Government itself has been made destructive of them by the action of the non-slaveholding States. Those States have assume the right of deciding upon the propriety of our domestic institutions; and have denied the rights of property established in fifteen of the States and recognized by the Constitution; they have denounced as sinful the institution of slavery; they have permitted open establishment among them of societies, whose avowed object is to disturb the peace and to eloign the property of the citizens of other States.

And Texas:
Texas abandoned her separate national existence and consented to become one of the Confederated Union to promote her welfare, insure domestic tranquility and secure more substantially the blessings of peace and liberty to her people. She was received into the confederacy with her own constitution, under the guarantee of the federal constitution and the compact of annexation, that she should enjoy these blessings. I have trouble understanding the "it's not about slavery" bit when the states' own rationale for leaving say "It's about the slaves."

I was addressing one specific and frequently used misnomer. All people deserve their stories to be told true, in life and death.

I disputed no other fact.

Slavery was the cause du jour. It was the one thing that garnered attention as something the Northern states wanted to end in the South at that time. If there had been something else the North was trying to impose on the South, you'd have gotten a similar result. It's true to say the Civil War was about both states rights and slavery. No state wants the federal government or other states imposing their will upon them, The Constitution was supposed to protect that from happening to a degree, but in that regard, it has largely failed.

It should be remembered that Floyd had transgressions. Even criminals have rights. The truth is a better lesson than made up fiction.

So it's all okay because he was only an accomplice in robbing a pregnant woman? If whoever held her at gunpoint had pulled the trigger, all involved would have been charged with murder under the law.

Derek Chauvin went too far. George Floyd should not have been killed. His criminal past does not make it okay he was killed. Neither Chauvin nor Floyd deserve to have their actions excused, which it seems both sides are attempting to do. Floyd was not an innocent man, but that doesn't change he shouldn't have been killed that day.

Wow! You BLM supporters really should do your homework.

George Floyd was life long criminal in the process of yet another felony. He was resisting and he was put on the ground at HIS OWN REQUEST! Watch the video! Look up his history! He was claiming he can’t breathe well before ending up on the ground and well before Chavin had his knee on his neck (which you may find was within department policy if you did the research). You burned cities to the ground SIMPLY because this man had black skin regardless of his character and we all know it because if he’d been white you know damn well we wouldn’t know his name. Dont talk to me about racism when your actions are determined by the color of a mans skin rather than the color he bleeds. BLM IS the modern embodiment of racism in America today.


Ps. More white people were killed by cops in 2020. Look up the stats. How about naming just ONE of them? I’ll wait.

You are so brave. I trust your levels of empathy are sky high by now because that seems to be the only human quality that qualifies someone as not being a racist 🤔
