I officially shelved the Taylor Made Burner today. It looked good on the ground and the launch monitor says the shaft should have worked, but I went back to an old Cobra F-Speed and instantly found about 20 yards.

I hated the one I ordered. I do like the new R9 concept.

I've not hit the R9 yet but plan to, can't seem to find any driver out there that makes me rid a Calloway from the tee, hit the Big Bertha for years, now hitting the Hyper X and driving it better than I ever have. I'm the only one in my foursome that doesn't hit the Burner.

Everybody is hitting the Burner. I tried for 4 months and no matter how well I hit it, it always felt dead to me.

I tried to make myself like it and just could not do it, I didn't like the way it felt, looked, or sounded, just didn't set up well at all for me. It's funny, 2 of the guys in my foursome where hitting other drivers before the Burner came along, one a Titleist the other a Cobra and both drove the ball much better consistantly before but neither is willing to go back, roothog or die I guess.

Two pars on 18, Mickelson and Whatney together again tommorrow in the final group, they have somewhat seperated themselves from the rest of the field.

Should be interesting tommorrow to see if Phil can keep the driver in play and Whatney can putt under pressure and also if somebody can go really low and make a run at them.

Thanks Tid,

I tried to pull it up on youtube earlier and it would'nt give anything but highlights from the first three rounds, nothing from the final round.

Heck of a golf shot, you could hit a bucket of 200 balls from there and not chip that in.
