Seacrest Beach Florida 5BR Gulf View Vacation Rental Home, 124 Geoff Wilder Lane - YouTube

It's closer to Panama City than Destin

First time in 17 years, I'm not staying with the inlaws in Destin, but my sister and her family usually rent a place around Seaside or Grayton Beach, and this is what she found

Perfect spot. You and kids will love it. Crabby Steve's beach bar is right next to you and only place for miles to go sit and eat. Just act like you stay at High Pointe and walk up there.
-sundry shop for cheap breakfast, orange leaf yogurt, Mexican, Acme food, live music, etc is out your back door and across the street.
-rent bikes and ride around, especially back to Alys beach. In NW corner of alys, there is a nice nature path. Peaceful.
-you are right next to rosemary, which has more restaurants and kids stuff, aka, the sugar shack. Cowgirl Kitches is good. Other stuff gets pricey.
-you are a 10 minute drive from Seaside, greyton and other restaurants. For a steak, go to Pandoras

A publix is east towards PCB @ 10 minutes over the bridge. Your area is where we have considered buying. Landlocked and no room to go east or west and very popular. That house you are renting will bring in @ 100-120k rental income 6/1-8/31. Great spot.

If you feel like helping, please do. We have our yearly golf trip next year and I'm supposed to help plan. We have been to Jacksonville and Austin. Usually in May so we have to think about weather, or I would go to Michigan. Some of us wouldn't mind spending a little less, but don't want to do the Nicklaus or Trent Jones trail. And, if we fly, SWA is the airline. I thought about Atlanta, Charlseston, Hilton Head, Florida panhandle...

What about Scottsdale, AZ? Southwest flies there.

Really fun area too. Pricing is better than as it's a little hotter and after busy season of spring training.

I'd also recommend the American Club in Kohler
You've got several great courses, up there with Whistling Straights and Blackwolf Run...I've played both 18's at Blackwolf and they are spectacular, and Whistling Straights is even better. It's caddy only, right along Lake Michigan

I've already hit two of the spots, bought some beer at the Sundry store it's literally across the street, from the entrance, and ate at Cowgirl Kitchen, with my sister and her oldest son. (he's 21)...He's down with his GF tagging along (18-19)...I'm trying to keep my 7 and 9 out of there way...There leaving Tuesday, so I should be able to manage

take a bike ride early AM down to Alys Beach to the back corner near the bridge and find the nature path. Hit your one hitter, get right with God, exit the path and hit the donut van at Alys Beach entrance (there will be a line), ride back home, drop the donuts off, then go sit and eat a donut with a cup of coffee on the beach as the dolphins swim by in the calm and clear water.
It'll be 7:30 AM, others asleep, and your day will be smooth and will have started well.

Anybody use golf handicap apps? I use The Grint but I feel like there could be something better out there without paying money.

Played a course today that I've never played. Bent Tree golf club in Sarasota. It use to host an LPGA tourney and I've heard it use to be a really great course. I could tell, from the condition, membership and revenue is way down, like a lot of courses in florida. I really enjoyed the layout but it needs patient golfers who can appreciate a course for what it could be. I made a 90 footer from the fringe for bird. Defiantly my longest putt.

Sparty, Shark Tooth took a bite out of us....

After TD birdie the first, the front 9 ate us up.....The back 9 was a little, and I mean just a little more forgiving....I shot 53, 47..with a par on 15, and 18....

Was a beautiful course, I'll probably be back in Sept and try to play Camp Creek. The starter at Sharks Tooth was a member, and said if I called him, he would get us on...

For Knoxville area golfers, River Islands has hit a homerun with their rebuilt greens. That used to be the absolute weakest link on that course but now its by far the strongest.

Had one of my drives bounce off a cart path today. It travelled about 320 yards total. It was just stupid long.

If anyone is in the southern Middle TN area, you should try Saddle Creek in Lewisburg. I played it Friday and it is in phenomenal condition.

I got outta work early and the dam Course is closed due to lightning. The storms past but whatever. We got any walkers in here? Since I started playing again I started walking. I have a decent bag but will get a nice one when this one breaks beyond usable condition. Living in florida, you don't replace your divots with your divot, you replace it with sand. Carrying the sand bottle, when full, is be far the item that weighs me down.
