The problem down here is that this far south in the heat of Summer it does absolutely no good to replace a grass divot. Unless water hits it within an hour or so, it's going to wilt in the heat. The only benefit is that the bare spot won't be as deep.
I understand & a lot of times, especially Bermuda, the divot just explodes & there's really nothing left to replace. If I forget the bottle, it's empty, or I don't have one I try to at least do something. If I do have it I fill mine & a few extra. Same on the green with ball marks.
