Canadian Open winners:
--Three Australians in the last 24 years.
--Zero Canadians in the last 61 years.
Who are the 3 Aussies?

Edit: I just looked at the list of past Canadian Open champions, and I think I found 5 Aussie winners. Kel Nagle, Jim Ferrier, Nathan Green, Greg Norman, and Jason Day. I didn't look up the biographies of all the former winners, just the ones that I thought were Aussies. There may be more.

I just noticed that you said the last 24 years. That would be Norman, Green , and Day. Sorry.

I picked up some MP 67 on craigslist for a hundred bucks. Just wanted to see if I could hit some blades. I'm playing 9 tomorrow and a scramble on Sunday.

i'd say you can hit them if you shot a 81
It all depends on your misses. If your mi****s are in the heel, you can play blades. Miss it in the toe, not so much. I grew up playing blades with a small short face, because that was all there was then, and the sweet spot was slightly toward the heel. That is where I still hit it.

Edit: Who knew that you couldn't write the word "mis hits "as one word?

Exactly right. I've got old Hogans and that's where the sweet spot is...consistent from the 50's precisions, power thrusts in the 60's and my favorite the '88 redlines.

Some of the best rounds of my life were with Hogan Apex PC irons. I've still got them and I have no idea how I ever hit the ball.

Tiger had another awful start, but has apparently found beast mode. He's birdied 4 in a row and 7 of 9.

Finished the day at -3, which is 5 strokes behind the leader. He had a good day.

He really left some shots out there coming down the stretch. Could've easily been 66, but the putter went ice cold. It was about as good as I've seen him hit it all year.

2 things:

1. I should never be a 4 man scramble team's best player. I'm a 15 handicap.

2. Being the best player in a "Florida Scramble" sucks

In a Florida scramble, if your shot was chosen, you don't get to hit the next shot. I'm essentially playing alternate shot with the others

Flipping through the sports channels, I watched bits and pieces of the women's Open. I know one thing for sure - if a wool cap is necessary on August 1st, Scotland is not the place for me.
