it might not be that simple, but these rolled faces would suggest it works. I don't know how high you tee it today, but even hitting cuts I tee mine fairly high for these tall sweet spots. I want something low, I just tee it down like my old drivers and move along. If this club doesn't work that way, I'm gonna be a little disappointed.
I've always referred to that as the "Pinch". That, of course, is not to be confused with "the heat seeker", "the stinger", "the knockdown" or "the midget ho".
hit the club that best complements your game and the courses you play. I hit the 2h because I use it from the tee an enormous amount. It is quite a bit longer than my next shorter club, probably by about 25 yards, but I'm just not gonna leave many approach shots in that range. If I need something in between, I'll try to manipulate the shot or choke up a decent amount.so i've done some looking into the hybrids, but I've reached a new problem. I hit the 2 iron about 240-245. I hit the 3 iron 225-230.
There's no way I'm taking out my traditional i3 3 iron that goes about 210. I don't want a club that goes 240, I want a club that goes 220-225. Would I be crazy to play a 3 hybrid and a traditional 3 iron instead of the more logical 2 hybrid and traditional 3? I'm convincing myself that it would be fine to play both 3s, but I just need some help. To me it seems this is like the guys who want to prove they can hit their PW 140. Am I correct?
BTW, is it odd that I hit my driver only about 30 yards further than a hybrid two?
If there is a negative to all the new technology in the clubs and balls it's that it has taken most of the shotmaking out of the game. Now instead of choking down or playing a cut to take off a little distance, everybody just swings the same way every time with a different club and assumes that is the way to play.
Pelz drives me crazy telling everybody to carry 4 wedges and swing waist high on every shot.
