Beshear ‘serious’ candidate for Democratic Party vice presidential nomination if President Biden withdraws, report says

Kentucky Governor Andy Beshear may be in contention for a national campaign.

I'm not sure why that's hard to believe. He is being seriously discussed as a possible Vice President choice, if Biden does step down. I think Beshear would work even better as the nominee for President. It makes such good sense, it's doubtful that democrats would ever do it.

The optics alone are devastating for the Biden ticket. I fully expect that Biden’s acceptance speech will be recorded and broadcast later at the convention. He will probably make a personal appearance but limit his remarks to 15 minutes or so.

The no brainer in my opinion would be to make peace with and bring in RFK Jr. Brining along his small but crucial few percentage points of votes would probably tip the scale come Election Day.

That's a strange take from that speech. Trump spoke in that same monotonic delivery that he always does. It wasn't energetic. It was just long.

If Biden does step down, I think Harris will be the nominee. The DNC won't want it to seem like she has been passed over .... but I think it would be wise to do so. She will lose.

Louisville is Gateway to Blue Wall, etc. Beshear would give Trump huge issues. Shapiro would as well...

The Dems screwed the pooch not giving Shapiro more of a role post 7/13 but we know why that didnt happen...

That is the 64,000 question here. Would the gain in independent voters outweigh loss in AA voters. Highly suspect that Cory Booker might have been brought on as VP...

If you can’t instantly see the difference in energy and engagement between Trump and Biden in July 2024, I honestly am concerned for you
