The Grill and BBQ thread

Care to post how you cooked those?

I just put on the grill for 5-7 minutes until they open slightly. I do not cook them. I use the basket to make it easy to flip and to cook lemons simultaneously. I serve with melted butter hot sauce.

I bought a 1/4 beef a couple of weeks ago and did the burgers last night before the neighborhood fire works....

first time I've used non store bought beef, it was really good...

Did some what we call Mexican corn on the cob on the grill for appetizers before our hamburgers later.
Grill 5 to 8 minutes, then 1/4 turn and repeat until cooked & speckled like picture. When they come off hit it with a tablespoon of mayonaise all over, sprinkle with Feta cheese, and then sprinkle with chili powder. Amazing taste and will blow you and your guests away.

Jealous! I'd love to do that but my family would be pissed that I ruined the corn SMH.

Let us know how you like it. We've thought about getting one.

After a week of use I give it an excellent review. The first couple of cooks were as expected, a little sticky, but after that it really starts working great.

I've cooked mostly basics on it so far squash/zucchini, home fries, bacon, sausage.

I did do some marinated skirt steak for fajitas along with the peppers/mushrooms/onions that was really good. However, the boneless chops I did last night with asparagus were amazing. You can get it really hot if needed.

It reduces the amount of dirty pans and smoke/stink which is a nice bonus.

Flat top grill is my favorite piece of cooking equipment in a commercial kitchen.

Hope you enjoy it.

Making me want to go to oak cliff and get some elotes.

Knock it down to a teaspoon doc if it's not a favorite of yours. You do need enough on it to get the feta and chili powder to stick though.

I would think the mayo is key, in fact I might try pulling the corn, put the mayo on and putting it back on the grill a few more minutes. Let it caramelize a bit.

When I say "I might try", I mean it literally. :)

I've heard they're amazing, I'm gonna have to make myself some too.

Looks great. Just did those exact cobs yesterday! I don't care for mayonnaise usually, but in this recipe it works.
