VolsNSkinsFan has one. He posted about it a year or so ago, said he liked it. I don't recall brand.

I've got two questions about this.

How hot roughly is that putting the meat right on the coals?

How do you not get ash on the meat?

I believe lump charcoal burns at about 1200 degrees. It's hot!

No, you really don't get ash on the steaks.

Did some redfish that I caught a few weekends ago from the Gulf. Turned out to be the best fish I have ever had. Recommend cedar grilling planks anytime you do fish, they really make a difference.

That looks outstanding! Well done!

I have some cedar planks and I agree they work magic with fish.

Thanks, the sliced up roma tomatoes also made them better IMO. First time I have ever used tomatoes while grilling fish and they brought out a little more flavor and the fish was very moist.

My neighbor just gave me his chargriller acorn. He got one called a grill dome for his birthday

They were 32 inches long. About the biggest you can catch and the fish still be really good to eat. I have a freezer full and will get more when I go back down to my future inlaws place in Louisiana.
