Not only do you not get a refund, you have to pay taxes on 25% of unrealized gains every year. When you sell it, you pay an additional 44% tax on your realized gains (close to 60% if you live in NYC or CA)..

This is a mind numbingly stupid idea...

Unfortunately, that is easier said than done. I thought keeping a ticket with obvious socialist/communist ideals from the WH was an easy lift for voting Americans. Today I am not so sure.

The left isn't complaining about Harris' tough on immigration stance, because they know it is a load of bunk.

Presidential candidates pivoting to the middle on key issues ahead of a general election is unsurprising. What is surprising is that, on immigration, the Harris campaign is doing so without facing much opposition from liberal politicians, progressive activists, or even longtime pro-immigrant advocacy groups.

Because those groups know shes pivoting to middle to get elected and that she doesnt mean any of it....

You act like this is a new concept of politicking, some know it, some don't care and some just hate Trump. Two unfit candidates promoting policies through smoke and mirrors. Promises of which they will not follow through on once in office, add social media's misdirections with personal assumptions vs facts combined with shenanigans by both parties and we got what we got. No trust, a split country and a no vote or hate vote for one candidate vs a liberal GGW party of politics. No boundaries in this election. Anybody that is totally net neutral gets raked over the coals. This election is so tribal it is pathetic and the reality is that one tribe has a split in it and the other has momentum based on a bunch of liberal policies. It is a mess.
Pivoting to the middle is a wise thing to do for votes but does not mean she will implement anything that is in the middle. But again, the Hate of Trump plays a factor in voting.

Agreed. They have a broader spread for outreach.

But all of them are liars and twist any truth to fit the narrative of the day. And most Americans believe it.

Harris-Walz Interview
It's not the question; it's the follow-up. Tonight, Vice President Harris and Governor Walz will be interviewed on CNN by correspondent Dana Bash.

She has to ask tough questions or be the subject of ridicule. But she will not insist those questions be answered as I, your humble correspondent, routinely do.

Not bragging, just citing the record.

The Harris campaign knows the game, and both Kamala and Tim will be well briefed to stay in the rehearsed zone. Examples.

- Trump is a convicted felon.

- Trump killed border controls. As president, Ms. Harris will gladly sign a new "security" bill into law.

- Trump wants to deprive women of "reproductive rights."

- Trump coddles dictators.

- Trump cuts taxes for the rich.

On and on.

Dana Bash has to know the propaganda spigot will be full blast, but unless she's willing to interrupt every two minutes, there is little she can do to stop it.

Unless.

She takes a different approach.

A seasoned interviewer who actually cares about getting perspective from those seeking power might ask a series of questions about problem-solving and policy history. Examples.

- Madame Vice President, why do you think inflation went from 1.4 percent in Trump's last year to more than 9 percent in your administration?

- How exactly will you bring prices down for consumers?

- Why did the Biden/Harris administration allow millions of foreign nationals entry into the country? How exactly would you stop that?

- Do you regret asking Americans to provide bail money for violent protesters in the wake of the George Floyd killing?

There are many more short, precise questions that should be presented to the Vice President and her soul brother, Governor Walz.

Don't know Dana Bash. Do know the state of journalism today. Doubt if the interview will produce much. I will be tweeting during it.

The super rich don’t care about taxes (loopholes and well paid CPAs).. and the super poor don’t care.. AKA both are the Democrats.. the rest of us get the shaft and should know better than to vote that way federally 😂
