The Impeachment Thread

I don't think that was the point. It's not uncommon for either party to engage in deflection when faced with negative situations. Not sure why that's so hard to admit? It further proves that Trump is really just another politician, IMO, and not this rah rah America first guy some people like to portray him as. So when you say "shameless, arrogant, and ignorant to think it would work" you're describing the majority of politicians from both sides. It's not unique to Trump. I get it, Trump bad, and I don't disagree, but there is no good in DC anymore, IMO. Why pretend there is.

I'm not sure how anyone can be truly happy with their own party anymore. Both parties use the exact same tactics for the exact same reasons. Neither side is concerned with issues so much as they are with power. Continuing to deny that, to spout things like degrees or continuums, that's just more deflection trying to justify something you know is wrong. Even if you consider the other side "more wrong", you're still supporting wrong. How does that make any sense?

You WIN the VN message board's best post.....Dead on bulls-eye with this....here's your Golden Trophy of the Day Award.....

I would find it amusing if the CIA "whistle blower", who supposedly supports an opposition candidate to Trump, would be a supporter of Joe Biden's.

Think about that one for a minute.

Doesn't matter. His complaints were objectively proven to be credible and urgent by the IG. He could have posters of Trump with gunshots or on fire on his wall. Irrelevant because what he complained about is true.

Their lack of self-respect is alarming, they are Patsies, falling on their swords for a corrupt, thieving, grifter. Al the while buying into right wing generated conspiracy theories.
Good point. It applies the to GOP as well. The party of Deflect, Defend, and Deny.

It's not good for their part or for the country that they have let the most radical among us take the democrat party over. It's sad and scary. Maybe/hopefully one day America loving patriots will be able to take that party back but I don't see it personally

I haven't been on the forum much lately and this thread is over 100 pages long, have any of the die-hard red hatters condemned Trump for fully admitting he sought the help of a foreign government to interfere in a US election? Just one of them?

Trump is not wiggling out of this one. No amount of delay, whataboutism, or look over here, not over there, can save him from his own ego, street level criminality, and stupidity. He is cooked.

He is out, and some of his staffers likely going to prison, absent plea agreements to give up Rudy and Barr.

Best quote of the day:

"Rudy may be the best source of information, because he doesn't know what he shouldn't say" - Rep Mike Quigley House Intelligence Committee
Apparently Rudy doesn't have any family that loves him. If he did, they would try to prevent him from embarrassing himself and palling around with Trump. He belongs in a Nursing Home that cares enough to keep his door locked.
