It was not that long ago where Republicans convinced Nixon to resign. It was a bipartisan vote whether or not to impeach Clinton in the Senate. (We have to remember this was different time and thought process about people in authority and those who serve them---so, it would be more about lying about having sex with another woman, which Newt Gingrich and heaven knows how many others had done themselves)

Right now, I think Republicans vs. Democrats have become like Vols vs. Gators. It would be wonderful if we voted on the merits of a person instead of holding your nose and picking a party.

I love the analogy but I would change it just a tad.
The election of Trump and Trumpism in general will go down as inexplicably crapping in the boxer briefs of our history.
The impeachment is like a little of the crap leaking out and running down the pants leg of our history.

Which is why he should be put under oath. Ducking this immutable need has been a herculian effort and it's not going unnoticed.

Why not put these guys on the stand and then just ignore the testimony, not doing so just makes him look guilty. Optics are everything.

The coup being conducted by your party and the illegal FISA stuff will haunt this country forever. These are the 2 biggest scandals in our country's history

Think about that , how much info do you think you’ll get from him “ before “ his book release date ? Do you really think he will get up on the stand and tell all before then?
