The Impeachment Thread

Well aren't you in the know. So the best notes and recollection of people paid to transcribe presidential phone calls is not reliable and some gumba lt colonel relying on his memory is reliable? Just think about that for a moment.
One of the most accurate note takers on the phone call testified important things were left out.

He can say he heard nothing he thought was illegal, but if he confirms quid pro quo, which he seems to have done, his testimony is gold for the democrats.

No, nothing illegal. Yes, quid pro quo.

Isn't that noise cancellation? If he heard anything illegal, it would support quid pro quo. That being illegal and all that. If he says there was quid pro quo, then he would have heard something illegal. Right? Otherwise he is contradicting himself and therefore an unreliable witness. Correct?

No, it would just show that something he didn’t realize was a crime turned out to be a crime after all.

If there were corroborating witnesses saying the same it might.

They way I understand these calls are handled is that they are not recorded, x number of analysts listen to the call, they write a memo of what they heard then they compare and come up with an official memo. So I wouldn't be surprised that it's common for them to disagree.
Only our government would play Chinese whispers to make a transcript. Seriously, why do we pay these people?

Except Muller didn't find collusion Between Trump and Russia. If he did, as a lot of you like to say,why did he not charge one single person in Trumps sphere with it?

He couldn't prove a conspiracy, which would be the actionable crime. I believe he stated some leads couldn't be followed, due to the limits of the FBI resources he was given.

But collusion, is apparent throughout Mueller's report, and some of the heaviest redactions appear where Trump speaks of foreknowledge of upcoming DNC hack WikiLeaks drops.

The picture isn't pretty, but collusion isn't necessarily a crime without being a proven conspiracy.

We tried that six months ago and the Trump administration refused to provide the evidence to congress so... seems like Trump made his own bed on that one.

He refused to provide evidence to a Dem committee. Do not blame him one bit.
One thing you will notice from the R's on here, very few if any are worried about this.
The blowback on the Dems on this is going to be epic.

Documentation is everything. Atleast for everything not Dem related to taking Trump down.
If there was a shred of exoneration in any documentation, Trump would release it. What he did release didn't go over so well to clear his name.

All career politicians are horrendously despicable.
Nope; nor are the ones that are, equal.
I knew from the beginning that Trumpism was rooted in a manufactured hatred of the government. The irony is that Trump has only made government more worthy of that hatred. It's like the idiot trying to put out the fire with gas.

I also knew from the beginning that there would be the attempt to normalize Trump. What else could trumpers do? (by the way, you are teetering on the edge of falling into that category).

Trump apologists are getting increasingly sad, and there wasn't a lot of distance left to fall.

LOL

Republicans are going to want nothing to do with Trump about 8 seconds after he’s gone. They’re going to distance themselves from this whole thing and avoid discussing it as much as possible.

If there was a shred of consistency or substance in the documentation against him, it would already be before the Senate.

That is some funny **** right there. Lets meet up here in a few weeks.
