The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Bill Maher Warns that Trump Indictment will Lead to a 'Cycle of Revenge'

HBO host Bill Maher predicted on Friday night that the criminal indictment of former President Donald Trump will "set off this cycle of revenge."

"It's almost Greek tragedy-like because you set off this cycle of revenge like The House of Atreus. And I guarantee you when Biden is out of office, Day Two, they will try to arrest him," Maher said as he began his panel discussion.

He added, "I always ask myself the question, ‘What is actually better for the future of the country and my future?' Because I don't want to live in a country where we are one of these places where whoever is president, as soon as they get out of office, they go after them."

Trump’s mugshot will prompt Masturbation at MSNBC, Bill Maher jokes

Comedian and HBO host Bill Maher said former President Trump’s eventual mugshot photo could prompt a certain level of excitement at liberal cable news network MSNBC.

“He will be arrested. He will be fingerprinted. And everybody at MSNBC is asking the same question: Is it wrong to j–k off to a mug shot?” Maher said, leading to raucous laughter from his “Real Time” audience on Friday.

I'm sure he is correct. As I said over and over, the most dangerous thing possible was the normalization of Trump.
Once that threshold was crossed, there was no way back.

Maher can have his moments.

Have any Republicans been critical of Trump for his association with Stormy Daniels? Have any Republicans asked why Michael Cohen wrote her a $130K check (Which Trump repaid)? Have any Republicans asked why Trump's 2016 campaign thought it was a good idea to have her sign a non-disclosure agreement?

His supporters, out of necessity, adopted the stance "yea, he's horrible, but they are all equally horrible."
Once they accepted that absurdity as truth, absolutely nothing else mattered. It simply became a war between Trump and the evil people who were out to get him.

I underestimated Trump's brilliance, but that was mainly due to overestimating the people he was targeting.

Dems set the precedent with behavior to high ranking officials when it failed to convict Clinton because the Dems controlled the Senate...the minute that happened any moral posturing went out the window.....if Trump is guilty convict him...but expect those with skeletons on the Dems side to have those skeletons uncovered and prosecuted.

Why would anyone give a s***?

Why would anyone give a s***?
LOL.

Why would anyone give a $hit that the nominee of a major party for President was placing himself at considerable risk for blackmail at the hands of a stripper/porn star? At the very least, that $130K check demonstrated horrendous judgment.

Indiana Republican Jim Banks Endorses Donald Trump After Indictment

Rep. Jim Banks (R-IN) endorsed former President Donald Trump after a New York grand jury indicted the 45th president on Thursday.

But it’s just another example of the lengths that the left will go to to weaponize government and their powers against their political enemies. But here’s the thing about Donald Trump that makes him different: The man does not back down. That’s why I support Donald Trump; he doesn’t back down and he’s not going to back down on this. He’s going to fight back and this is just the beginning, I think, of yet another chapter where Donald Trump is going to come back on top in the end.

Maybe you are a little young ... Republicans set a precedent with Ford's pardon of Richard Nixon.

Who wouldn't be proud to endorse a man that paid hush money to a porn star?

Congress has a slush fund for hush money. Talk about warped perspectives.
No. There is not a fund exclusively used by members of Congress for hush money payments. You are probably referring to a claim by Candace Owens ... which was wrong.

That first link is to an article which cites that $17 million in settlements were paid from a fund .... but the fund was not used used for hush money. We were talking about hush money, not sexual harassment settlements, remember? The 2nd article is to the 1995 act which prohibits such a fund. I knew what you were going to post .... and that you would misinterpret what you were reading.

I think almost any rational person would agree that a settlement with a non-disclosure agreement is hush money. You did notice the name on the piece of legislation to repeal the practice? "Congressional Accountability and Hush Fund Elimination Act"

A sexual harassment settlement is not the same thing as hush money ... which will often involve a shakedown of completely legal and consensual activity - such as with Rick Pitino.

Hmmm. I remember a bunch of liberals screaming "it's only sex" when a previous POTUS lied under oath. Clinton defenders are massive hypocrites. Don't know if you are one BB.

Wow, you will justify anything.
I'm not defending or justifying anything. If there really is a slush fund for members of Congress to use when they need hush money, then why didn't former Speaker of the House, Dennis Hastert use it, instead of his own personal account? He went to jail because he was caught structuring withdrawals.
