The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

===============

I believe Trump has 90 days to file an appeal with SCOTUS. Yet the Dems will try to expedite it for they want any kind of indicment before the election so the liberal media will have its headlines.

The most disturbing part of this is that 3 judges assumed guilt before innocence...that goes against everything in our constitution

You don't appeal as of right to the SCOTUS. You file a cert petition. The court then decides whether to allow you to appeal. They'll deny Trump's cert petition because this case is total crap.

Then you state that his guilt or innocence is irrelevant to the ruling...otherwise that in order to justify the ruling we are assuming he is guilty, see the difference
No. They simply clarified that he is not immune from prosecution. This was simply about immunity --- nothing more, nothing less and nothing else.

The D.C. Circuit order adds a wrinkle on scheduling by saying that Trump only has until Monday, Feb. 12 to file with the Supreme Court. The standard rules allow Trump 90 days. If he does not, the mandate returns to the District Court which can restart pre-trial proceedings...

...However, if the judge restarts pre-trial proceedings it could again be interrupted by an appeal. That includes a possible emergency motion to the Court to stay proceedings. That would go Chief Justice Roberts and he would likely send it to the full court...

...If a stay were issued, we would be back to the possible filing of an en banc decision and then a later petition to the Supreme Court and months of delay in filings alone...

...Keep in mind, there is still much to be done on the district court level. Whenever the court restarts pretrial proceedings, it could take weeks, if not months. If everything breaks for Smith on the calendar, he could still secure a pre-election trial but he is facing diminishing odds.

------------------------------------------

All this is about getting Trump in court and a conviction quick as possible...facts and merits of the case mean nothing for the Dems.

Once in a lifetime experience watching a man and his cult, search for anyway possible to absolve him from his lifetime of conning and grifting.
There is a common metaphysical thread these days that claims we are so polarized (e.g. politics) that both sides only see the reality that they believe is the real one. Trumpers live in an entirely different reality and I understand that. I don't understand their logic but, hey, that's why I don't allow them in my reality. lol

I see you slept through the January 6th debacle.

Sit back and enjoy the show.

Buying Time with hopium…It is what it is…sit back, take a chill pill and try to get some sleep, relax. Slow Death Why rush it, vs crashing and burning. It is the beginning of the end… Why some of you would support a candidate that would support (an idiot) that would terminate the Constitution with a pla is beyond belief . Pure Nonsense.

The Dems are the ones in a rush to push their corruption because they know Trump will win the election.

You have no clue…if Trump is going to win why is the House set on going after Biden so hard?
why is Trump whining at every turn? Just a rouse. Trump is not capable of winning but keep the hopium up. You are in for a big disappointment in November, but it will be just as bad if BIDEN DOES AS WELL. If Trump had shut up he would have been elected, he didn’t… At least without him stirrping the pot we would have had a viable candidate to represent the Party. Now we are stuck with 2 lame ducks because people bought into the lies Trump tells. Sad state to be in at this point of our history.

I don't see the House being hard on Biden. They been saying they were going to impeach him for months...nothing. But Biden, unlike Trump, has broken many laws and deserves to be impeached.

Geez, you are in dreamland if you think that Trump has not broken any laws. I guess time will tell, but you are just provoking a response with that statement. Surely, Shirley you don't truly believe that Trump has not broken any laws. He is a Republica of the Mayor of Hill Valley. He is a walking talking violation of which he has admitted he has broken laws.
