The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Of course it was false. Biden received the most votes. Had it somehow been proven otherwise after the fact, they could have met and signed some document at that point.

No, they couldnt. State law dictates when Electors have to be chosen by. This is silly and a contortion of the law to persecute your political enemies. This wasnt being done in secret. These legal theories were openly being talked about. These alternate electors were openly being discussed. Everyone in power knew who the electors were and they knew who the alternate electors were. There was no fraud, this wasnt false and you are a scummy person if you want to prosecute people for this. Total scum.

That's simply nonsense. Why not have them sign a document before the election even takes place declaring Trump the winner?
What's the point? Obviously there isn't a point.

They were being asked to sign a document they knew to be false. Why? I think we all know.

It wasnt false. Everyone, including those in power who approve electors, knew they were alternate electors. Which is why none of the alternate electors were mistakenly chosen. They did this, trying to ADHERE to State law, not skirt it. What is wrong with you? You want to see a fellow citizen suffer for this?

They admitted they signed a document that was "used as part of an attempt to improperly overturn the 2020 presidential election results."

I'm sure there were more details when it was happening but searches are just junked up now. Probably not on accident

Congressional oversight and an inspector general were written into the bill. Is you main complaint Trumps signing statement?
The bill includes a $500 billion fund that companies, such as the struggling airlines, can tap to support their business. The fund is overseen by Treasury Secretary Steven Mnuchin. In original drafts of the Republican Senate bill, Mnuchin had wide discretion in overseeing that money. After criticisms from Democrats, Republicans agreed to add on a congressional oversight committee and Inspector General as added control measures.

The language gives the Inspector General power to report back to Congress information including the nature of the loan and its recipients. It has the power to make informational requests from other agencies “to extent practicable and not in contravention of any existing law.” It is required to let Congress know if those requests are blocked.

Written in later by Dems under protest from Trump. I'm looking at their original intent not what happened once they got their hands slapped

Of course he signed something vs being bankrupted by you scum in court. This isnt proof you are right, it is proof your side is pathetic scum.

No, they wanted a half trillion for Mnuchin to hand out to big businesses like those in the MIC or Trump's buddy with a cruise line. That was the intent and was clearly supported by Senate repubs

And they didn't get it. There was a bipartisan compromise. So I still don't understand why you have your panties in such a twist?

I don't think you are going to find many supporters of the funds, the whole concept of shutting the production down at the same time pumping money into the system was moronic.

The original point was around the number competitive absolving Trump of any responsibility wrt inflation. It's a pretty high number on this board alone

Only 5% of the $500B for large corps was loaned out (mostly travel industry). The rest was returned to general fund (subject to appropriation) in late 2020...

Who knows?
Maybe more right than the ones who continue to support Trump.

I think the impact of Trump and Trumpism over the past 8 years has been devastating to the country, on multiple levels, and continues to be.
Lol. That's hilarious. The MSM has kept him in the spotlight ever since he was ousted from office. I have news for you Clyde, it isn't Trump that keeps bringing up Trump. You need a boogyman to deflect from the ****ing disaster you installed in the WH and Trump unfortunately obliged. What I don't get is why the left is so afraid of him. If y'all have a good candidate, why do you need to remove him from the ballots, and run multiple kangaroo courts? Just man up and beat him in a fair fight.

A practicing NY attorney breaks down the Trump case. Just watch 15 minutes from the linked timestamp. Can one of our resident "lawyers" @evillawyer or @RockyTop85 dispute his analysis?

I'm not an attorney but I've been part of enough business/tax trials to know that clear, Statutory language dominates. The Statutory language at issue here clearly just requires a repeated pattern of fraudulent acts and not actual damages. The judge didn't have to pull a 40 year case to get there, it's just additional support for appeals.

This youtube lawyer pretty much avoids that discussion in the 25 mins I watched. I'll let @ClearwaterVol, @evillawyer or @RockyTop85 weigh in if the actual statute matters.

I do have significant issues with the judge's penalty calculations. In short, some of the evidence the judge relied on to show a repeated pattern also show the penalty proposed by the state's expert was BS. Trump's side did a poor job in fighting that but a basic common sense smell test should have been applied there...

Trump not bringing up Trump? You've got to be kidding? Damn🤣 He's been putting himself front and center almost every day since he left office.

There’s no way you were a real republican when you say the garbage that you do.
You have no idea do you? I know I am more Republican than Trump which is all that matters. I will not speak to your status. I hate what a bunch of entitled Liberals have done to our Country as much as I despise Trump. Joe Biden isn't much better because he is a follower and not a leader.
No choices available. They are both "The Low Sparks of High Heeled Boys".
