The (many) indictments of Donald Trump

Trump not bringing up Trump? You've got to be kidding? Damn🤣 He's been putting himself front and center almost every day since he left office.
And how exactly does he do that? The MSM like the rest of you left wingers are so obsessed with him that they were constantly in his face about everything. THEY are giving him the platform. It's hilarious. If they would have ignored him after the ouster, he wouldn't be where he is. Buncha clowns

And you further know damned well these indictments are of the kangaroo nature. Their design is to prevent him from running an effective campaign. Hell ya'll are so scared you kick him off of ballots. It's really funny actually watching you twist in the wind over one man. I think it is because you know in your black little hearts that your boy's record is so dismally antiAmerican that Trump would wipe the floor with his demented ass.

I don't watch MSM. I do see his constant social media postssssss. 😆 His public appearances are on display too. He constantly degrades and insults anyone and everyone who might disagree with him, or heaven f'ing forbid, criticize him. He does all that in front of God and the whole world. It's not an opinion either. You are definitely one of his flock leaders

LOL So he hurts people's.... your..... feelings???? Sack up Janet.

You're out of your mind. That kind of talk hurts no one's feelings. It's a facking laughingstock
Sorry. I gotta throw the BS flag on that one. Feelz are one of the main reasons our very own @luthervol votes against the Orange man.

The MSM is so offended by his antics that it is a yuge reason they hate him. Watch the cackling hen show and see how offended they are by his antics.

You're talking about "feelz"? You? 🤭 Your whole ideology is based on emotion. Your response was nowhere near the point being thrown at you. Apparently, it was like a Nolan Ryan, 94 mph curve ball. Mr. "Trump made me rich"🤭🤭🤭🤭

I'm not an attorney but I've been part of enough business/tax trials to know that clear, Statutory language dominates. The Statutory language at issue here clearly just requires a repeated pattern of fraudulent acts and not actual damages. The judge didn't have to pull a 40 year case to get there, it's just additional support for appeals.

This youtube lawyer pretty much avoids that discussion in the 25 mins I watched. I'll let @ClearwaterVol, @evillawyer or @RockyTop85 weigh in if the actual statute matters.

I do have significant issues with the judge's penalty calculations. In short, some of the evidence the judge relied on to show a repeated pattern also show the penalty proposed by the state's expert was BS. Trump's side did a poor job in fighting that but a basic common sense smell test should have been applied there...

Drag a former President into a highly questionable case where no other business peer has been prosecuted? Please explain the criminal fraud Trump committed.

Wow! So, let's concede he has actually done nothing wrong. Yes, by God, he's been persecuted by everyone. Not just liberals, Democrats, progressives, independents and REPUBLICANS. Hey, I am not beyond believing in conspiracies, because they do exist. Not here though

There are 3 things I have been consistent about this entire time

1. Trump clearly broke the law when it comes to the applicable statute. The statute does not require damages, it just requires a pattern of fraudulent acts. The acts, such as multiple instances of cooking the books, lying about appraisals, disregarding appraisals, lying about the size of buildings, double counting rent income, lying about operating income, etc were well laid out. "Everyone else is doing it" or "They were paid back" isn't a defense here with the way the statute is written.

2. This is absolutely a political prosecution. In no way with the damages involved here does it justify spending millions of dollars for experts.

3. The $355 million judgment is BS and how the judge came up with it shows a lack of basic financial knowledge. The banks testified they knew Trump was FOS and they made their offers knowing that.

Trump Must Pay Half a Billion Dollars Before He Can Appeal New York Decision

Former President Donald Trump must pay nearly half a billion dollars as a bond to New York State before he can appeal the ruling by Judge Arthur Engoron last week that he must pay $354 million in fines — over $450 million, with interest — for fraud.

Critics have noted that Trump is the only person to be sued under an obscure New York fraud statue that does not require any harm to be done, and that effectively criminalizes the everyday practice of real estate valuations in negotiations with banks.

Though Attorney General Letitia James — who ran for office promising to target Trump — claimed that no one is above the law, her case against Trump marks the only such case in the history of the state. And the staggering fine is likewise unprecedented.

As to no. 3: we clearly need more defined regs on banks to provide more details on real estate loans of magnitude. The ratings agencies were privatized in the early 2000s and that facked everything up. It literally enabled the big short

Trump, as a billionaire, personally guaranteed the loans. It was a huge stretch for the judge to say that without the BS in the financial statements that all Trump could get is an unsecured commercial loan...

#1 isnt fraudulent acts. The bank can find all that out information out. Trump even signed a disclaimer stating that the bank itself should do it's own due diligence. What Trump did is no different than what any of his peers do.

No, that's not what his peers do. That is a lazy non-defense. They don't inflate sizes of their homes by 3x, they don't create fake operating income statements to try to fool appraisers, they don't double count lease payments to justify better cap rates, they don't take market appraisals and increase them by 350%.

And don't trust me, his accountants, CFO and accounting consultants admitted to all of it at trial...

It's all there in the ruling.

I think this is the most fair and accurate summation I've read on here

I absolutely believe Trump's net worth is north of a billion, but I wonder how much cash he can come up with in 24 hrs notice. It certainly ain't Bobby Axelrod cash😁. That he touts his wealth, then turns around and asks for donations for his legal fees is the craftiest grift of all time

Nothing throughout the ruling disputed his short-term liquidity. All the lenders said they were as interested in that as net worth (another reason why I think penalty was excessive)
