3. At worst, a misdemeanor, should have been nothing after the statute of limitations expired. However, NY supposedly passed a law allowing that to be ignored and elevated to a felony IF it was to coverup another crime. (Admittedly, I am not 100% on this last)

NY did not charge another crime which they have jurisdiction over. He was not convicted of another crime the "coverup" supposedly applied because NY has zero jurisdiction over those attached at the time of jury instructions. None. Trump was not prosecuted for any additional crime the supposed "coverup" applied to by any other entity which had jurisdiction. I agree with the characterization of this as a Frankenstein charge.

Trump has a plausible claim the NDA was a justifiable business expense. Did anyone prove otherwise? May have, but I heard nothing of it.

This was a political lynching by NY. While I believe this will be overturned, it it goes to the Supremes, I would not be surprised with a 9-0 ruling overturning it.

But left doesn’t care if it is overturned. They got their soundbite and that was all they were wanting.

**update** seems Bragg basically incorporated the entire code of NY with no specificity as the bootstrap to resurrect the misdemeanor charges. Still should wind up being overturned.

If the more than 50% of this country that want Trump over Biden allow the leftist filth to steal this presidency....then we deserve it and this country is dead and gone.

Trump has always lead all the polls...and still does. For good reason. If there is middle of the night BS again and the crooked MSM tries to tell us the next day that Biden won?!? There better be millions of people protesting in the streets immediately. In numbers never seen before. We cannot accept another stolen election.

He leads by a very narrow margin. And he was clearly down in 2020. And several early polls suggest he loses enough support over this conviction to F him

The Trial was in one of the most Democrat heavy districts in the country. The judge has now had 2 Trump cases and another case involving a Trump colleague. The odds of him being assigned all these cases randomly is impossible(I think there are around 20 other judges that could have been assigned any of these cases). The Jury responses to pre-trial question told a lot too. They got their "news" from the NYT, Washington Post, CNN and other left wing publications that hate Trump. Some openly admitted they were democrats. There were none on the jury that voted for Trump. Luckily for Trump, it hasn't affected the race negatively for him because most Americans see it for the sham that it is.

I think Trump would win the election today but it's still early and anything can happen before November. If the economy doesn't change and prices don't come down significantly then Trump probably wins if Biden isn't replaced as the nominee. As I said in another thread, Trump's mouth and ego are his biggest problem because he has Biden beat on every major issue except abortion. Biden's biggest problems are his mental struggles and the economy/inflation. It's impossible to say who will win at this point but I feel better about Trump's odds 5 months from the election.

Can we please just have decent candidates to vote for for once? We have a dude who is a nut and can't keep his mouth shut and another who can't seem to remember what he had for breakfast. We have picked the lesser of evils for a couple decades or more now. Sheesh. No wonder this country is such a mess.

Polls are becoming increasingly meaningless in the current ballot harvesting era. Dems have have a HUGE advantage when it comes to networks and systems to harvest ballots. The GOP is not even in close.
