Bubba pulled off a nice shot no doubt but it was Louis' collapse on that hole more than it was Bubba taking the win. Being left handed actually helped him there. I doubt many right handers could bend a short shot that much to the right.
Bubba had an awesome lie in the pine needles. A 150 yard shot that wasn't terribly difficult to hit the green doesn't trump a 250 yard alby.
The alby was like a half-court shot. I can pretty much guarantee Oosty was trying to get it close but was not trying to hole it. If he missed it, even to the point where he didn't make eagle the match goes merrily along and he has plenty of chances to win. Bubba doesn't execute that shot and at best he has to go to another playoff hole.
It's funny if you read the arguments here that Bubba's shot wasn't that difficult. The same then would be true for Oosty's. Plenty of tour players can lace a 4 iron to a area on the green from a good lie. They do it every week and plenty did it at the Masters. His happened to be in the exact perfect spot but as I said earlier, I seriously doubt he was trying to hole it.

The difference between hitting a green from 150 yards & holing a shot from 250 should be self explanatory. Because he had to curve the ball some act like its miraculous. Hell he curves every shot. Hooking the ball from a clean lie is not a hard feat. He's gonna pull that shot off more often than not.
You are so right. Circumstances mean nothing. So if I hole a second shot on a par 5 from 250 out at my local course, then that trumps Watson's shot at 10. Makes sense.
Circumstances? Do you realize what they were? Louis butchered his tee shot & had well over 200 yards to the hole from right of the fairway to a green that slopes right to left. He came up short & lay 3 short of the green. Bubba didn't hit a great shot off the tee but got a break & had to hit the green from 150 yards knowing that would give him a chance to seal the deal. Yea he had to curve it but it wasn't terribly difficult. That's the circumstances. Doesn't take away that holing out from 250 is the greater shot.
You're entitled to think what you want. That shot didn't deliver him the green jacket.
