The murder of Ahmaud Arbery

I don’t. I suspect this won’t hold up and he may be charged with accessory.

Didn't see the post you were responding to, but "Party to a Crime or Criminal Attempt to Commit" down here, AKA "accessory", is treated the same as committing the charged crime. That's what makes me believe the GBI has evidence that none of us know about. FYI, there have been rumors of video that depicts a "4 minute chase". That would not benefit any of the charged defendants in this case.

If I knew anything that was not a matter of public knowledge, I could not share it here. As it is, I don't. We're all working off of the same info. My sole advantage here is that I know some of the involved parties, and I know about some of the skeletons that are starting to fall out of closets...

I can see the false imprisonment angle if they think he was boxing Arbery in. But it seems nutty to charge a guy with murder who was 50 yards away and filming everything. I guess they’re saying he was committing a felony that resulted in a death.

I dont think we know the full story of this guy's involvement so I'll reserve judgment on this case. But I'm okay with the concept in general. If you're gonna participate in a crime you should generally be responsible for your accomplice's actions.

I’m curious to how many posters in this thread believe that Bryant who never did anything with a firearm and was simply following and filming the incident should be charged with felony murder?
We don’t really know that For sure. If he participated somewhat in “corralling “ the victim, all bets are off.

I think it's obvious that GBI is viewing him as an accomplice to the crime. Based on Georgia law, that is the appropriate charge.

I'm confident that the DA would like the reach a plea agreement with Bryan in exchange for his testimony against the McMichaels. They have to charge him in order to maximize their leverage.

What do you think he should’ve done? Shot McMichael?

If the charge is accurate he probably shouldn't have tried to help trap the guy. Like I said in another post, we dont have enough facts in the public forum to know the extent of this guy's involvement. If he was helping run Arbery down or trap him, he could be culpable for whatever his accomplices do.

So in your world it's not justifiable to protect an unarmed man from the guy assaulting him with a shotgun?
When Bryan rolled up. What did he see? I’m pretty sure he saw Arbery running towards McMichael and hitting him a few times before trying to take his gun. Pretty sure you wouldn’t have wanted to know what he would’ve done if he had been armed and decided to use it

Oh no, I'm all but certain what he would have done, and that's the problem.
