The murder of Ahmaud Arbery

Continually presenting opinion as fact when you know it's opinion is a lie. In your entire argument, it boils down to a statement that starts with "I think". That is opinion.
Lol everyone in this thread has gave their opinions including you. Doesn’t make it a “lie”

I believe you will find that my opinions are that no one really knows. Your opinion is that the Billy Bobs may have been justified and have presented evidence and arguments trying to prove a criminal past and that he was fleeing a crime. I think if you examine what you are posting and what I am posting it will be a little bit different. The only thing I have stated as a strong opinion is that they had NO justification doing what they did and I stand by that.

Then don’t call what I say a lie because I clearly have not lied about anything. Opinions are totally fine

Most agree.

But there are those that blame Arbery for attacking that poor guy with the shotgun and getting shot with it 3 times. Might only have been once if he had just stood there.
I don’t think blame is the right word.... I questioned why.....I also questioned how it would be viewed from a legal standpoint.... was he acting in self defense or was the guy with the gun? The trial should be interesting

I don't think its the incorrect word. Its been clearly stated he would still be alive if he hadn't attacked the guy with the gun.

I also question it. I question why he was heading away then decided to turn back and run toward the gunman. Call him stupid or whatever you like, but since he's dead, we'll never know why.

Ricky and others say if he hadn't attacked the gunman he wouldn't have died from 3 shots from a shotgun. I think he would still be alive if the gunman hadn't followed him and cornered him then threatened him with a gun. (Yea, if he got out of the truck with a shot gun and was talking or yelling to him, I consider that a threat. If its not "legally" it doesn't change anything in my mind).

We all know what this was, whether it actually was racially motivated or not. The legal technicalities might change the outcome of the McMichaels future, but it won't change my mind on what happened.

Or likely wouldn’t have been shot at all since they were waiting on the police
100% would not have been shot if the McMichael's had waited for the police and not armed themselves and tried to apprehend Arbery illegally.

Since we're talking about facts and all.

IMO, it comes down to the McMichael's creating the situation. If they had not tried to stop Arbery, there would have been no confrontation. If they had not brought guns, no one would have been shot. If they had left the job of the police to the police, Arbery would be alive. They created the situation, not Arbery.

And it's all correct. Poster got served with a C&D from the DA's Office (Glynn).

Told you...long summer ahead.

Great line: "The Baxley Informer’s response…ditto."

Sooner or later in the movings of life, diametrically opposed forces will ultimately clash, and collide, and one powerful force greater than the other, will prevail.

Law and order in this country is slowly slipping into waiting vigilantism, and the greater the emotions and fury and fire, the greater likelihood violence is on the horizon.

It's the natural law of the planet. We've just been spoiled for so long as to keep our faith and belief in the illusion of our judicial and electoral system. The more we creep into lacking resources and political mutiny, we'll see how soon civilized turns to anger and action.

Saw that. Also noticed that the DA's counsel misspelled "libel," which is fun.

That kind of intimidation tactic from an elected official is some serious bull****. They know full well that they have absolutely no argument for defamation.

GBI just reopened the Swain murders investigation. My guess would be that Dennis Perry is exonerated.

Meanwhile, over in a nearby county.....

Won't happen here. What you have here is a handful of elected (and appointed) officials who let that power go to their heads. It was tolerated for a while, but now there will a reckoning, and a few folks will be looking for new jobs. There will be some "re-alignment"; some new faces; trusted names will occupy those places that lost the public trust; and we'll start over. From time to time, you've gotta go clean out that attic. This is one of those times. I'm just glad, and grateful, to see that there will be some justice served here that is, IMO, long overdue.

I love this community, and I'm honored to serve it. Ain't nothing on my badge that Brasso won't clean off.

It will be a mess is what it will be bc I bet they don’t get punished as harshly as some will want and all hades will break loose.

That will be the prosecution’s argument for sure

My concern here is that if he (Bryan) thought he was helping Greg and Travis chase a burglary suspect; what with Greg being a retired LEO; if he never displayed a weapon; and he honestly thought he was doing the right thing...then even though the elements of the offense may be met, I'm having a hard time with "motive" here. There must be more that we (I) don't know at this point.

If not, why in Heaven's name would he knowingly video himself breaking the law?

So I have that question, and I guess we'll have to wait and see how it plays out. I know there is more video now, but haven't seen it. Must be damning.

I read the Autopsy Report. The wounds are horrific. Usually are with a shotgun at close range.

It’s probably leverage to get him to testify or make sure he testifies.

Is the 3rd guy still charged with murder? That's the only thing I don't understand about this case. Imo many in today's world would follow and chase what was going on. Unless he had some direct connection to the shooters I don't understand how he can be charged.
With that being said I fully believe the father and son should be fully charged. Their lives were not in danger and they had no authority to chase down Aubrey and even question him. They should've left him alone or contacted the cops and had them interview him
