How long did this pursuit take place? Can we expect better video? Seems as if they are in front of two houses on either side of the street. I do know I’m physically repulsed by this video. It’s a very bad look.

Agreed. But what we do know is that Jim Bob and Cletus armed themselves and pursued a guy whom they had not seen commit any crime. Cletus got out of the car, shotgun in hand, and the guy wound up dead. The only way Cletus could have defended himself from the person who created the imminent danger would have been to blow his own head off.

And you should get horse and enter the Olympics because you're so good at jumping to conclusions. You have exactly no idea what happened here. You're assuming the guy did nothing to initiate the response from the guy with the gun.

Oh come on. Can't we have some intellectual honesty here?

I understand your and Ricky's position. And had there been some different circumstances, I could easily be in complete agreement with both of you.

Based on the video posted and the news article, this situation escalated unnecessarily. Gun owners have a higher responsibility. The fact that one had LEO experience is even worse.

This gap is what we have no idea as to what happened.

JFC, so if 2 guys chase me down the street in a truck with guns, cut me off twice, and then get out and come at me with a gun and I end up shot.....this is my fault?

You have quite the nerve telling others they are jumping to conclusions when your back has to be hurting in the way you're stretching.

I am. The f***ing redneck went out of his way to CHASE DOWN the guy in his truck and HE initiated the entire scenario.

He made a ridiculous assumption that the guy would have shot him in the back so I responded in kind. You guys have convicted based on two things, neither of which are illegal, having guns, and confronting a guy. I'm not defending anyone here, but no one here has enough evidence to convict anyone. We don't know what happened.

Granted. But if you've pursued a pedestrian in your vehicle, and then climb out of that vehicle toting a shotgun while that pedestrian is coming toward you, at the bare minimum you have created a situation wherein the other would reasonably fear for his life. Period. Georgia is a Stand Your Ground state. The victim was under no duty to retreat.

Oh yeah, I'm sorry, it's totally reasonable to think a redneck that runs a guy down in his truck after the 911 operator specifically tells him not to and cuts him off twice just wants to talk.
