With a name like that he was doomed at birthAlso..while this will get sensationalized because White people were involved, blacks being killed in Georgia is an everyday occurrence. Old. Middle Aged. Young, doesn't matter.
For example: 7 year old killed by a dude named Shunderrious....
2nd suspect arrested in deadly shooting of 7-year-old boy
People also like shooting people on I-75/I-85. But its black on black so no one apparently cares outside of the metro area.
No one has demanded ole Shundo get hit with terrorism charges..
Wonder if the DA could recuse themselves and have a change of venue to another counties DA?
Maybe @RockyTop85 or @ClearwaterVol would know?
The outrage is over these guys escaping prosecution, especially given one had ties to the DA's office. Not everyone commenting is "agenda" driven. For many commenting in this thread, color is not even a factor. He was. That's not the point. The point is senseless violence happens all the time here in Georgia. Kids dying from random drive byes for example.. But no one bats an eye because its just black on black crime. A White person gets involved then its white supremacist nazi terrorism and people have protests and political figures have to speak out about it. Kind of shows how certain people pretty much don't care about other certain people unless it can fuel their agenda.
This looks like flat out murder to me. They were hunting the guy and initiated this. They both should be served life but this is solely based on what we've seen so far.
I still don't get why the thinks the POTUS needs to address this. That just seems dumb. So I tweet the POTUS something and bow out my chest that he needs to address it and think I should get a response? If it's that easy I need to start tweeting my celebrity crush. I'm not sure that will end well.
Also this doesn't seem to be a case of terrorism, maybe racism.
You are right. After I posted I thought about maybe re-editing it to include that but I was in my car..didnt wanna text and drive. What I want to know is what story they told that led to no charges being filed. The video evidence obviously is new..at least to the public. The outrage is over these guys escaping prosecution, especially given one had ties to the DA's office. I see this as manslaughter. Guys with guns tracking down some dude is stupid but the black guy attacked them first. Its going to be a mess no matter what and no one will be satisfied with the outcome. This looks like flat out murder to me. They were hunting the guy and initiated this. The father had worked with the DA's office and the son had a history in law enforcement. That alone stinks to high hell as to why they weren't initially charged. The county DA had to recuse herself, as did the DA of a neighboring county. Now a third DA has been appointed and plans to bring it to a grand jury, but the grand jury is currently delayed due to the shutdown over Corona. You are right. Manslaughter, I agree. You can't prove intent to murder. You can prove their actions directly led to the man's death.I see this as manslaughter. Yeah..thats fishy. The father had worked with the DA's office and the son had a history in law enforcement. That alone stinks to high hell as to why they weren't initially charged. I'm not a cop, so obviously I can't say how I would feel. But if I was a cop I think I'd view wannabe cops (or ex-cops trying to be cops again, like the dad in this story was) with annoyance or disdain, not behavior I'd try and justify. The scary thing is, I'm pretty sure Ricky is a cop, and he's often over in the cop thread defending bad behavior.

Along a similar vein gun owners don't really want this sort of thing going on. I'm a staunch 2A guy and shenanigans like this do nothing but create fodder for the anti's.
