The murder of Ahmaud Arbery

Off-topic, but does every state have a bureau of investigation? I'm not sure I've heard of it in other places, but I've heard about it in GA on many occasions.

And back on topic, why would the county impede surveillance footage that can exonerate (or at least calm things down) the McMichaels?
I believe every state has their own bureau of investigation, but not positive.

Maybe it doesn't exonerate them? I've not made the claim it does.

Right, I'm just reasoning through the hard information we have and the unbacked claims we keep hearing from the guy who has been caught in multiple lies.

Contrary to popular belief investigating agencies do not have to release every piece of evidence either for or against their case. It could come out at trial and 99% likely will, but they are under no obligation to help Arbery or the McMichaels. Just to investigate the facts as is

I know of the TBI and SBI for South Carolina as well. So I assume so. My brother was in the GBI.

Words set the tone. There's a big difference between "hey man, stop, we want to talk to you" and "Stop right there, n-word. You've got some explaining to do". Two very different tones.

I agree with this and have said from the beginning if there was a huge difference If son said “stop a**hole or I’ll shoot you mf” that’s a lot different than “stop we wanna talk, we called the police”

And we really don't know what they said. Outside of few seconds on the 2nd 911 call, what we know the entire interaction comes from the perps.

Ricky, what do think about them chasing him down to begin with?

I read initially it was a citizen's arrest thing. Which could make sense cause the dad was in law enforcement.

But wouldn't he have to know you can't make a citizen's arrest in the state of Georgia without being witness to the crime?

And I'm honestly asking, like if we're sitting on the deck talking about this.

I still don't get that. I don't remember much about it, so I looked it up after it was brought up and its had an effect on my mood. That was nothing even close to this. This was tragic. That wasn't even close to tragic.
You are out of your ****ing mind. This isn't even in the same galaxy as those murders.

You'd be surprised about how little some LEO's know about the law (or pretend to not know). For reference, I've seen dozens of videos of cops claiming you can't film the police.

I said that the two guys did something I personally wouldn’t have done. Needed better judgment. But they did show intent to call the police and try to identify the guy. I still believe Arbery would be alive if he had either continued running or stopped to talk to them instead of assaulting the son. They will tell their side of the story and we will see what other evidence emerges

That's pretty much what I meant. I guess I could have said it differently but I really didn't think I needed to.
My bad then, but it doesn't read that way. I think they ought to nail Davidson to a post and set him on fire after a couple of days in the hot sun.

Actually, all 5 of them. Coleman too. It is beyond me that she watched and did nothing.

I believe he would be alive if they didn't point a gun at him.

Speculation as to why he turned to fight. Words don't hurt but they can be inflammatory.
Thats the problem with our society. A lot of folks have been conditioned to act with rage when hearing certain words, even if it means their own death or injury/prison/etc..
