The murder of Ahmaud Arbery

was it you who asked for the video of him in the home? I found it here. Shows him inside both the day of and on previous nights.

Thanks for that. That is helpful.

Can you now explain what difference it makes given that neither the McMichaels nor William Bryan (the guy filming in the car behind) owned the property, nor did they have any access to the linked footage?

We have no way of knowing but it is a reasonable assumption with the hit squad chasing him down like this is 1934.

They cornered him and threatened him with a weapon. Of course you try to grab the gun. You don't just stand there and let them shoot you. Or are you that big a punk that you would just lay down and let them kill you without fighting back?
I assume these two had killed a bunch of innocent blacks before this one? Maybe the dead man was just a dumbass and thought he could attack a guy with a gun. Is that what you would do?

Hell no I don't believe he was just some random innocent guy. He clearly had a past and may have been up to no good. The thing is, unless he was directly threatening the McMichaels, I don't see how his past matters. You can't just threaten somebody with a gun who isn't posing an imminent threat to your life.
/the whole conversation!

But what I just described to you is burglary whether they actually take something or not. Happens everyday. If you are drunk and stumble into an unlocked door of wrong apt. That is burglary. It’s the act of being inside a dwelling (or car) without Legal reason to be there and with intent to commit a crime

FYP. Stumbling into an unlocked door is not burglary, you just made that up.

Now it’s your turn to be helpful. If they were unaware of any of this, why were they chasing him? I’ll have to review the details, maybe it was my assumption but I assumed they knew

Between this thread and the corona virus threads, Ive learned way more about some people here than I wish I had.
I think you just want to think that anybody who doesn't see this as cold blooded racial murder is a racist. I see it as 2 cowboy vigilantes who shouldn't have been involved , and one of them getting attacked and possibly getting his gun taken away from him. If I was armed and somebody was beating on me and trying to take my gun away, I would probably shoot in order to stop him.

False. You can't walk into other people's homes, even if the door is unlocked OR covered in a tarp OR doesn't even exist!
And you believe he walked off the road, up a driveway, behind a house, and "stumbled" thru the back door? at a house that just happened to have a theft from a similar suspect 2 nights before?

your definition of burglary is way off.

Unlikely they would have singled out a white kid as a likely criminal.
if that kid had matched the description told to them by neighbors of the recent thefts in the neighborhood, i don't think it would matter what color he was...they would've tried the exact same thing

Sure you would . . . I've seen you post enough though that I know you are too intelligent to introduce deadly force into a situation where it isn't warranted.

I have said it repeatedly in my responses to you. According to their statements to the cops, Arbery matched a guy who had appeared on their cameras (not the construction site) on some earlier date. There had been some thefts in the neighborhood, including a gun being stolen out of Travis McMichael's truck, though there were no cameras that caught that event.

So, Greg McMichaels saw a guy running down his street who might or might not have been the guy seen on their cameras, and the guy on their cameras might or might have been involved in thefts in the area. With that as their level of knowledge, they armed up and chased him.

If you want to verify that my recollection is true, feel free to read the publicly available 911 transcripts and police reports.

You have no idea whether race motivated them or not.

Would you initiate the issue though? Would you follow someone down the street or actually block them with a drawn gun? Everything that I have learned in my self defense classes says you can't do that. If you approach a situation with a firearm drawn, you are AN aggressor at that point. Maybe not the bad guy, but you are escalating the confrontation by having a drawn firearm.

What am I lying about? He was what, 26 yet they use his high school photo? He was seen in the home multiple times. His aunt confirmed it was him according to the liberal Daily Beast. What’re you accusing me of lying about?
He was not confronted. He was not seen multiple times. The homeowner wants nothing to do with this and did not film the incident. He was also 25.

No one has confirmed anything. It may have been him the one day and he just looked around and took off. many people do that.

There also has not been any burglaries in the neighborhood.
"While Gregory McMichael claimed Arbery looked like a suspect in a string of recent burglaries, Glynn County Police Lt. Cheri Bashlor told CNN this week just one automobile burglary in the neighborhood was reported when a 9 mm pistol was stolen January 1 from an unlocked truck outside the McMichaels' home. "

So he could not have been a suspect because there had not been recent past crimes.

Who cares if they used a yearbook photo? it is literally irrelevant to his stalking and murder. I have seen recent pics that did not look like a yearbook. Idk where you see them using oly one yearbook photo at. I have seen several. They all look the same. He hadn't changed his look. Is this one better ? Doesn't look like a high school pic to me. i have seen this one more than anything.

Number one, I wouldn't have been armed. Number two, if I was armed and was being beaten and that person was trying to take my gun away, I would probably shoot him because I would think he might shoot me with it if he got ahold of it.
