Vandy's pacing themselves. Heard they just picked up their 5th verbal from a 3 star TE with offers from Harvard, Yale and Dartmouth.

Welp, guess we're done with the 2015 recruiting class.....with Kamara, Austin Smith and Quay Picou, that's 16. 😉😳😁

16 spots as of today, and 16 spots filled IF Woods sticks. Also Weatherd getting in plays into it. We'll see how it plays out from here through NSD.

McKenzie, Jones, Richmond, Etc, Etc, from here on out each 1 they add, a current Vol loses his scholarship/walks. We'll see.

"We'll see how many" was what I was saying. CBJ said 18-22. I figured 20 for my class prediction as right in the middle sounded like a safe bet.

We'll see how many current Vols are sent packing to open spots for the 2015 class. Could be anywhere between 2 & 8. We'll see.

So Phillips and Sweat are sure takes at DE. Maybe Olenga.

Richmond is a sure take on the OL. Most feel the staff will take another OT if they can find the right one.

At DT, McKenzie, Jones, Settle, and Tuttle would all be "sure takes" per folks on the board.

WR, we have (2) onboard and most feel that Jefferson and possibly Gibson would be takes here.

QB, A lot of people see Gibson as a take as a 3rd QB.

CB, Ordway, Martin, Brazil, Abernathy? Which are takes and would the plan be to take 2?

Is Oliver a take at TE? What if Jaason Lewis tried to get back in with Tennessee?

We have 2 LBs in the fold and most think we would like to add 1-2 more. Lots of names in this group IMO.

and we will 'lose' commitments too, happened last year with Booth and Lauderdale (spelling) and a few others. and some we will honestly lose the big Juco DT to auburn comes to mind even if i can't remember his name. We may not just be adding to the class we can easily lose some along the way. a long way NSD

Either Abernathy isn't as high on us as we thought or the writer on a recent article left out any mention of us and only talked to him about UGA and bama. In having a brain fart on what site this article was on

I saw that as well. IMO Abernathy is a longshot at best. Just included him because as you said, a lot of others feel UT is right in it.

I honestly think Woods comes off and Lovingood is a PWO. Butch treated the PWO guys just like the guys getting scholarships last year.

Except for they knew they were PWO's and Riley has said he was full scholarship. I just can't see CBJ taking the risk of losing his LS again like they did last year.

Woods I agreed with a week ago. After seeing him back on campus and taking pics with Butch I'd guess he still has his spot at least for now.

If Kyle Oliver commits tonight, we will have 17 commitments and have only 7 player spots remaining that we can sign.

We are likely done recruiting at QB, RB, TE (if Oliver commits).

We will have room for Van Jefferson at WR.

We will likely get 2 more offensive linemen.

We will get 2 more defensive tackles.

We will likely get 1-2 more linebackers.

We will need 1-2 more defensive ends.

We need 2 more cornerbacks and maybe another safety.

That is 9-12 spots that we want to fill.

This does not leave room for another QB or another WR after Jefferson. Butch will have to be judicious with his spots from hereon out.

Good list. Agree with you about being done at QB. Originally had heard that Jennings was not recruited as a QB but that appears to have been wrong. We have 2 QBs this class, need to move on to other positions of need.

Took out Woods and added another OL, probably a guard prospect. Took off Lovingood added Oliver. I agree it's hard to see it happening, but I don't see us shorting other positions. We could take 25 with him being the 25th. Would be a nice class adding depth everywhere.

Our needs as of now:

* at least 2 more Offensive Linemen
* at least 2 more Defensive Tackles
* at least 1 more Linebacker and maybe 2.
* at least 1 more Defensive end and maybe 2
* at least 2 more cornerbacks - most definitely
* 1 more WR.

We could use another safety as well.

That is 9 spots that we definitely need to fill no matter what and we only have 7 spots right now.

We can wait and see who transfers out and frees up a spot. We do not want to lose any current commitments from this class.

We do not have luxury of having luxuries-like signing extra players at positions that have been nicely filled. We now have to get into getting the trenches filled on both sides of the ball and focusing on our defense.

The consensus seems to be that 25 is actually not an option. The MOST will be either 23 or 24 IF enough spots are there.

Why do people think CBJ will yank the rug on Lovingood? Why would he want a Horky situation to play out again this year? We NEED a LS. A Need is worth a scholarship. Ignore the *'s IMO.

Excited to get Oliver, another in-state kid.

But should we be concerned that season hasn't even started yet and we're already filling up the class? Weren't we suppose to have less available spots this year?
