The Oakland A's- MLB's ACTUAL AAA team

big deal that we don't have an actual SS at the moment, at least now we'll have two ready in two or three seasons! Awesome move Billy! Where's the 2B we need? Oh, we'll just a pitcher there and at short. Same thing for LF. Who cares. Let's get more relief pitchers. Construction begins monday on an extra bullpen to house them all.

Ike Davis can play RF, and Reddick can go to LF. We need middle infielders now. Stephen Vogt can also play LF.

There's an unbelievable difference in can play and are any good. And someone would have to be a fool to take Reddick's arm out of RF. and we haven't even touched the fact that we won't break 100 runs for the season.

I think Vogt did fine playing left field last season. If we don't break 100 runs with Billy Butler, we have problems.

Rumors of deals being discussed for Gattis and Justin Upton from the Braves and a deal to get Alexei Ramirez as our SS. Samardijza's name floated in both.

Your definition of fine is funny. Basically Vogt didn't fall down chasing singles.

We don't need a superfielder in left field. We have Coco and Reddick whom are great at their positions and can cover a lot of ground. We also have Gentry as an option.

The A's will be fortunate if Coco plays 100 games. Gentry is solid, but not consistent enough. Love how you just overlook the fact that we don't have hitting. At all. At any position.

Think about it this way. You want rid of Gattis and we're the team dumb enough to be interested in he and Upton.

We have Butler, Moss, Vogt, Crisp, Reddick, and we'll probably get more. I don't think we have enough hitting at all.

this is supposed to be a good offensive lineup? Or a list of one really good OFer, one oft injured old one and a bunch of others who couldn't hack it anywhere else as an outfielder? Either way, you need blue font.

Welcome to being an A's fan. We take guys who can't hack it anywhere else and make it work.

No. They take players others don't trust. Not players that already failed. Moss for example. Was a great 1B. Boston tried him in the OF and he failed there, not as a baseball player though. So we made him a 1B again. The other move is to take old people and make the best of it. Ie, what they are looking at with Alexei Ramirez. You still haven't listed our hitters though. At least I hope you haven't.

I think we'll get some hitters this winter. I think Lawrie has a ton of potential though. The Red Sox tried to change moss' stance, and his style of hitting. The Pirates then let him go at it how he wants. It has nothing to do with his ability in the outfield. We actually taught Moss how to play 1B.

Um, no we didn't. 1B is his original position. It's the position he was drafted as by the Red Sox.

No he wasn't. I hate to use Ray Fosse as a source, but he told his story full out during a broadcast. I'll correct myself, the Red Sox developed him as a OF, but his hitting was the problem back then. His fielding abilities weren't the problems in the pros. The only reason he's playing first base for us is because we had no other place to put his bat.

And this is why the thread title had to get reverted back to what is it now. It's back to being appropriate. Can't wait to hear Burger's asinine thoughts on why this was a good trade.

We have a middle fielder, and Moss had hip surgery? I can't say any trade is good because no baseball is being played. It's currently a push.
