Very well, still not good enough for UT. You can blame it on Hamilton since you said he was the worst AD all-time, I would agree with you there. I would have taken Shaka Smart, much better coach than Martin, plus he will promote the progam.

Dear Volnation and people who have been on this thread, Where did I ever give Mike Hamilton any credit for anything he did as AD for UTK? All I said is that he gave an individual who wronged his employer and institutiion a second chance. I never said Hamilton was a great AD or that he was effed over since he was fired. All I am saying is that Bruce was given a second chance and as a human being I appreciate that. Emain, have you really never wronged anyone in your life and no one has ever given you a second chance?

This is my point.

I am willing to give him a chance, but hell with losing to Austin Peay and a losing season. UT has came too far to go back, and if we have 2 losing seasons he should be gone.

You thinking of hypothetical situations. He did get a second chance and had to live with that decision. Quit acting like your God's gift to this earth because you do no wrong and therefore think you can make any assesment or judgement and think that it can't be wrong.

I don't get it. If a coach wins in his first year who has no ties to the program, he is a great coach, but the minute a first year coach loses, its on the previous coach's because the current coach can't coach.

I want the coach at the program that I love to be held to the same standard to which I would be held, therefore I have no respect for that piece of trash Hamilton

Actually, yes. See Golden Sachs, Arthur-Anderson, and any other bad investing firm in the banking crises, second chances were being dished out like dollars at the local strip club.

Would you want Calapari? He is both regarded as one of the best in the game and even though it hasn't been proven people wonder about whether he is covering things up.

You can only be cleared so many times before I start to think that maybe it's the class of player you recruit that leads to the problems. If Pearl was consistently pulling multiple top 20 players while he was here, Tennessee would have had the same problems, would it have been Pearl's fault?

Goes back to the Tressel-Pearl argument. You would rather hate Pearl who admits his mistakes and love Calipari for covering up his mistakes. Nice judge of character you are. I understand now you just wanna hate on one individual for hurting you sports team. There are things far more important in life then your favorite sports teams. I'd hate to see you as GM or AD because it would truly be a circus.

That made no sense whatsoever.

If a first year coach wins, it shows some of his coaching prowess (i.e. Pearl's first year).

When a first year coach is forced to play freshmen (that he pulled) and last year bench players, it shows that the previous coach left the cupboard bare.
