LVs are coming up short at USCjr, but they had cut it to single digits for most of the 4th Qtr. A couple of wins in the SECWT would wrap up an NCAAWT invite, but they might get it even with an 0-1 in the tournament.

They actually have him helping to host. They are obsessed with that guy. They think he’s a basketball mind. Another caller called in raving about Gainey and said if BJ Edwards had played more last year he’d still be here and Gainey wouldn’t. Said he’s better and should be getting those minutes. Philly agreed with that part. Edwards had 2 points in the same amount of playing time today against an 11-18 basketball team.
He does. He has the best basketball mind in south Knoxville.

I'm going to guess they are probably already in, but a few wins in the SECWT wouldn't hurt.

Creme's bracketology has them as an 8 seed, so they're probably not on the bubble. The conference record really helps, and they've had some strong road wins and a win over Oklahoma.

Tried to look for flights to see if I could come home to Knoxville for the final game of the season next weekend, but man flights are just still so damn expensive these days. Used to be able to get fairly last minute flights for like $250-$300 from D.C.

Now, it’s at least $600. Hate it. Hope we make the Final Four so I can see DK play at least once.

Am I the only person that genuinely doesn’t gaf about a #1 seed?

Give me the #2 seed if it’s comes with a better matchup/ location.

Yeah that’ll be a grand minimum trip for you if you add in the tickets, food, and hotel. I’m bummed I can’t make it to see DK play either.

Hoping we play in Indy in the tourney since it’s only 2 hours from me.

Being the 1-seed in the west with Arizona as the 2 gives us the clearest path to the F4 with the best matchup. I'd rather play them in a potential E8 matchup than any of the other 1-seeds (Purdue, UCONN, Houston). And I also feel like Arizona stands the best chance of those four teams to be upset early on.

So location be damned, give me the 1-seed out west.

My parents still live in Knoxville, so I’d have a place to stay and eat. But I really am hoping to go to the F4 this year and I’m just not sure I can justify $600 for this flight and another $600 on the off chance we do make a deep run. I’m sure the atmosphere Saturday will be insane. Sad I’ll miss it.

Didn't know you are in DC, man. I'm in DC now on a work trip. I've only visited one other time, but I really like the place. We had a fancy dinner at Del Frisco's tonight, very good.

Some of you guys are great at find stats and metrics. It would be interesting to know how much we score above our opponent’s norm along with how much we hold them below their scoring norm and how that stacks up in the SEC and nationally.

For example, bama averages scoring 91.5 points per game and in our 2 games they scored 71 & 74 for a 72.5 average. 19 points and 21% below their season scoring average.

Defensively, they give up 79.2 and we scored 91 & 81 for a an 86 average. 6.8 points and 8.5% above their season average.

Also, these numbers would be more interesting if the games against weak teams could be removed from the calculations.
I believe what you’re looking for is adjusted offensive/defensive efficiency.

It’s an okay city. It’s definitely gotten worse since I’ve lived here. Extremely expensive to live in, bad crime, etc. But I still like it. I don’t want to live her forever though.

Lots of good dining options as you said.

Driving on that loop is a white knuckler for an East Tennessee boy!

Did you sleep through that week of March last year? I guess so. It was a huge narrative.

Did I say that’s why we lost? Still could have won.

But I get it- you have your own agenda and narrative. Facts are facts.

By the way, here’s the evidence:

Also this:

I don't deny that the media reacted the way they did. It was Duke we beat after all but it had nothing to do with us blowing that lead and getting dominated at the end of the game against FAU.

Scenario: Vols win out, Purdue loses at Illinois and Houston drops their home game against KU. Is the #1 overall seed for taking?
