Quit being soft
Dude, if that had been a player for any other team shoving a Tennessee fan, you'd have been in the front of the line to drive the first nail.

Why do you struggle to show even the slightest bit of impartiality? You don't have to excuse and/or defend every single aspect of Tennessee athletics. It's OK to acknowledge that sometimes, guys make mistakes without being compelled to carry water for them. Not every player is perfect. Not every coach is perfect.

If I was Omari I would’ve said, “I saw someone running at me, felt threatened so I defended myself”

Never know what could happen on the field with random fans running toward you.

If he would’ve said this, no one would’ve said anything. Always “defend” yourself ;)

If you’re stupid enough to run onto the field and purposely get into a 300+ lineman’s face in an aggressive manner, don’t act surprised if they retaliate.

The fan got off easy considering it could have been way worse if it were someone else and not Thomas.

What evidence is there that he got in Thomas's face in an aggressive manner? The video only shows him walking on the field trying to squeeze through the Tennessee players. I don't know what he may/may not have said, and neither do you, or anyone else. Looking at the incident frame by frame, I can't even tell that he made eye contact with Omari Thomas, let alone got in his face in an aggressive manner. He's holding the girl's hand and she is leading him through the crowd.

Now, sure, you can make the argument (really the only logical argument to be made) that fans don't belong on the field, and that they enter that environment at their own risk. Same application of that ideology applies to the girl that Jermaine Burton laid hands on in Knoxville. Should we review your posts and feelings on that incident?

The situation is extremely different. The vapid moralistic tripe that skips over all the particulars gets old. Just another way to troll and antagonize our fans.

It’s not a troll. You fall back on calling everyone a troll when they disagree with you. There was absolutely nothing about the situation that necessitated Omari Thomas aggressively shoving a fan down onto the field. And if you want to use the excuse “Well, Burton hit a woman.” The video clearly shows that the guy Thomas threw to the ground collided pretty hard into a girl who wasn’t paying attention.

I don’t know why it’s a “troll” to just point out that what Omari did was wrong. Because it was.

Hey did you see this? Bama player grabs a QB's face mask after a play is dead, lifts the head, and then slams the QB's head into the turf. The officials did NOT eject the Bama player. (It's an ejection by at least 3 different rules that apply.)

Not only did that; they no-called even the penalty. Legal play. Nothing to see here.

That wasn't the final play, btw. Moore committed another ejection-worthy foul on the next play. They didn't eject him for that either. So he was shielded from sitting out the first half this week.

I did see this. This is also bad. This is also something that should not be acceptable. I agree that there should be some repercussions or punishment for this behavior although there likely won’t be.

It's not.

Right. I don’t think Omari needs to be kicked off the team or even suspended, but I do think it’s appropriate to point out that the behavior wasn’t warranted and if we are going to be quick to cast stones for poor behavior from other teams we shouldn’t shield our own players from warranted criticism just because they wear Orange.

Neither of you even mentioned Bama's Burton incident at the time or the week after, much less criticized it. It only became interesting to you when you could use it to throw up a quick quasi tent revival and use it to start preaching condemnation to some Vols fans concerning a different incident.
