BumpAgree he has always been a bit streaky but I don't ever recall him going this long while shooting this poorly. In his last 7 games he only shot over 30% 1 time (3/8 or 38%) but, to your point, he shot real well in games 2 to 4 (10/15 or 67%). For reference, last year he had 3 games in a row under 33% early in the season but at no other point had 2 consecutive games where he shot below 33%. Also, last year he only had 7 games where he shot 30% or less with more than 1 attempt - this year he already has 6 of those games.
I love ZZ and I know he is working his tail off - I just hope this is not a trend and it means he is due to go on an extended heater where he shoots lights out. GBO
Still up there, but there’s a bunch right around the same. Dan Hurley passed him. Nate Oats is close, and his escalators each year will eventually surpass him. Georgetown is private, but there was speculation that Ed Cooley’s deal is higher. Mark Pope’s isn’t too far from it.Is he STILL the 5th highest paid coach in college ranks?
Hopefully the portal SZN keeps them bozo’s over there in the FF and Recruiting forum. They are a real ray of sunshine over there right now…With the football season over and conference play starting, I expect a big migration of people who only post in here to be negative. Please somebody do a PSA that the SEC is historically good, that we will lose some games to teams ranked lower than us, and that that doesn’t mean we suck or that Barnes should be fired or whatever
“But Jonas, really, we loved him when he was here, what he did and loved his growth. But he’s there, we’re here and it’s about competition now.”Link?
I’d assume he got some nasty messages on Twitter or whatever from our nuttiest fans and will try and turn that into motivationI do think it’s funny that Arkansas assistants said Jonas is going to have extra motivation in this game. Like, for what? You left a starting role and pretty solid NIL. You weren’t pushed out.
Posted this in the game thread, but I know a lot of people ignore that so putting here as well. Didn’t realize that Mashak was even hurt. Man, we can’t afford him to be at less than 100%. Not sure why we didn’t sit him today.
