So I watched the last few minutes of the NIU-ND football game, and that was some wholesome stuff with the NIU coach's interview at the end.
Also, I recently bought a new TV for the first time in my life, and I watched this in 4K, also for the first time, on a big QLED screen. Dang, it's tight.
I jumped from 720p to 4k this year and it’s a huge difference. The other thing that they’ve really improved on is anti-glare coatings. Didn’t realize til I got it home but there are seats I can use now that I couldn’t before. That kind of reminds me of when I finally jumped on the HD train back in about 2010 or so, I don't remember which. I had been pretty "meh" about it and was like "I don't need an HD TV" and I went to a Best Buy and they had an SD tv set up next to an HD tv showing whatever Friday night college game was on that week. And I was like "whoa.....that's a big difference". Guess who got an HDTV not long after that?
I haven't made the jump to 4K yet but I'm very close, my current TV is going on almost 9 years. It's still good but I went to a friend's house a few weeks go with an 85 inch 4K and I'm like....me likey.
Yer lost dude. Back to the FF with you!The offensive line is broken right now. The off week came at a good time.
The secondary also scares me. They’ve let receivers get behind them quite a bit, but the opposing QBs haven’t been taking advantage of the break downs and passes have also been dropped. I hope that Nico is ready to respond when we get into a shoot out.
I also was not a vol fan prior to starting as a student in 2005 . That 05/06 season was a rough one to start with. Really set the tone for the next 15 years and not in a good way.Just want to say that the football team's success under Heupel has been amazing. I feel like every hire after Fulmer and up until Heupel was a half-assed hire, much like the bball coaches after Pearl. Imo, it was evident in his first season that Heupel had the goods to deliver success, and it's so awesome to see the fruits of his labors now.
I personally only became a Vol fan when I decided to go to UT in 2005, so I didn't really understand the significance of UT football until I was a student in 2006. Even though we were decent in my first couple years as a student, and we had some blips of success in the following years, I've never really been as excited for football as I am for basketball...until now. Like this past season and the '18-19 season in bball, I feel like this football team can realistically beat anyone. For now, and I emphasize "for now," we should be a shoe-in for the Playoff and a serious contender for the championship. If it plays out that way, then just wow. It's great to be a Tennessee Vol.
Side cool story bro - on Jan 4, 1999, my dad and I were at, then, Nashville Arena watching the Anaheim Ducks - Predators game. My dad's work had a couple season tickets for clients, and he always snatched up any that went unused; this game was one of them in the Preds' inaugural season. Nashville won, and after the ice was cleared, they broadcasted the FSU-UT champ game on the jumbotron. That was my intro to UT sports.
