No hotter team in the SEC over the last two weeks than Bama. This is a first this year for us. We’ll see how the team responds to a little adversity later today.

We had their starter on the ropes, 1st inning. We shoulda have done more damage than the 2 runs we got. He settled down after that. The ump was calling a lot of low balls strikes and our guys were clearly frustrated.

Burns gave up 3 Solo shots, they took the lead. It appears Luc had a HR wiped off, 1B ump called it foul.

Mabrey came in a tough situation, he looked really good. We needed a double play ball and he served one up, but Lawson let it get through his legs. Tidwell looked outstanding for an inning, scuffled a bit, Kirby came on and got the last out. We couldn’t get it going at the plate, though Ortega had some good AB’s and a solo HR. JMO, but I prefer Ortega at the top of the lineup rather than the bottom but I’m sure the staff has their reasons.

Tip of the cap to Bama, they played better and seemed to have more juice than we did today. We’ll be fine.

Can't say it any better than this. We're probably going to loose a few more games the next few weeks. I've said I think this team is better than last year. Does that mean we'll win it all ? No , but it does mean we have a better chance. We had a bunch of timely rallies last year. Just want to be hot at the right time this year, June !

Our hitting has tailed off some last few games including the win VS Missouri also all the close calls have seemed to go against the Vols. Our baserunning has seen a few hiccups, some timely hitting by the visitors, and a few timely errors by the Vols have all added up to the anatomy of a Baseball loss vs an inferior teams. We will refocus and win this series.

Dude, you make no sense. If 2 of our 3 sweeps are against team you feel are so inferior, you are simply saying that we (UT) are overrated and the AL loss was inevitable. You can't have it both ways.

I can’t keep up with your circles. Vandy is inferior to us, hence we swept them. I’ve never said we’re overrated, however the Bama loss was inevitable; nobody is going 30-0 in the league. We’re still the best team in the league top to bottom up to this point. But none of that has any bearing on the fact that I simply refuted that Vandy is a great hitting team. The stats against legitimate pitching don’t support that they are; they gorge on Wednesday’s and are bulimic on the weekend’s.

Yeah, Booker EVER pinch hitting before Blake Burke is a head scratcher. I think Blake is a pure left handed swinger, and going to play ball for a long time.

Since 2013, the average number of wins for the overall 1 seed in the SECT is 22. That means we only have to go 10-7 the rest of the way and it’s a pretty good possibility we get it. Now I would prefer us go something like 12-5 but we got such a ridiculous head start at 12-0 that we would really have to fall off a cliff to not get the 1 seed. The two closest teams to us in the standings, Arkansas and Georgia, would have to finish 12-4 and 13-3 respectively in order to reach 22 wins. The probabilities are in our favor. I would be shocked if either of those teams get through their remaining schedule with less than 6 losses. And that’s being generous because they aren’t easy schedules.

I heard him say that and just can’t imagine what is going through his mind. I can honestly say last night was the worst call of any baseball game I’ve ever seen. Helton had to be losing his mind.

Ok so our hitting is absolutely dog **** right now. And our pitching is almost as bad currently. Very real chance we peaked early. Looking back at the SEC teams we’ve beat, well…….they aren’t good. Let’s see how tomorrow turns out. I’m not feeling confident. And if you say you are then you’re lying. You can disagree with me all you want and that’s fair, but if you look at this team over the past 2 games there’s no way you can say everything is just A-Okay.
