The Official #11/#9 Tennessee @ Florida Game Thread, 7:00 PM ET, ESPN

I'm rooting for Joe to succeed. Guys a pure class act. I see why Huepel insists on sticking with him as he's very talented, and that's what I respect him for. I don't understand the idiot line, but I'm also tired and it's been a long day. I hope that I'm wrong and he surprises me going forward.
It surprises me that some still refer to him as a qb

Yeah I really understand that if a team lines up and runs the ball straight down your throat for an entire half that it’s not the quarterbacks fault.
I understand that if the other team runs 35 plays in the 1st half and we run 12 while our qb is 9-12 throwing it’s not our quarterbacks fault.
I understand that if the offensive line jumps on 1st down 2 drives in a row and you start out 1st and 15, it’s not your quarterbacks fault.
I understand that kamal Hadden literally chest bumped a guy and then proceeded to watch him run 50 yards into the endzone and thats not the quarterbacks fault. I understand that our offensive line notably our center got his a$$ kicked all night, and that not our quarterbacks fault.
JG 2.0

I can't believe how unpissed I am. I think subconsciously , I'm just immune to real disappointment anymore. I went out back , had a smoke and a beer and laughed at stuff with the kids that I'd normally have been annoyed with during a game like this. As a fan ,I'm broken, in a good way. Life's too short to stress over a game other people are playing .
I’m with you bud.
It kinda hurts to be at this point but it feels good at the same time.

I’m thinking there are locker room problems, especially in the secondary and at QB.

Milton let the clock run down on several plays - he was totally unaware. You can’t tell me that Heupel really trusts Milton. You can’t tell me he is unaware of Milton’s inefficiencies.

Worst game of Heupel’s tenure at UT. Lacked a sense of urgency throughout the game. Failures across the board. Out coached all over the field.

That's where I've been for about 15 years. Having 3 kids, all incolved in athletics, certainly helped me gain perspective.

The call on Castles was horrible.......and a game changer.

Even the announcers talked about the horrible officiating.

The officiating was worse than TN's performance.

Had the game been officiated well, we would have won; even playing as poorly as we did.

And that's simply the fact!!!!
Yeah, Luther, officiating was really bad.. and we also weren’t playing well enough to overcome it lol.. I’m just going to go to bed angry now 😂 nah…lots more season to go.. but something does seem rather off

I wasnt actually talking to yall screaming at my tv...... when did they credit it back ? Cause if we had one couldnt we have used it earlier on the 4th down call ? Horse sh1t just mad like everyone else
That one timeout was called by Fla, Tn stilll had one timeout left.

With Milton at what position exactly??????
If Coach Heupel is going to roll with Milton at QB, he's going to need to develop a scheme that works for Milton.

None of us can expect that EVERY QB will execute Heupel's tempo offense like Hooker did. For instance, someone like Stetson Bennett wouldn't have done as well. It's not his style.

The offense we're running isn't going to work in the SEC if Brady or Manning were running it. The scheme isn't workable that we've run for most of the first 3 games. It's not good football.

If that's all Heupel's got in him, we're not going to have good results because every QB isn't a tempo QB. It's not a "plug in any QB" offense and if this is Heupel's backup offense.......ugh.

No offense but you have no idea what you're talking about. We took plenty of shots all over the field in the passing game. None of those worked in the first half as their defensive line was completely overpowering us. We obviously use the short passing game, but those worked pretty reasonably well. It's like a run play. And the reason we ran the clock down in the first half was very obvious, as it worked. We were on like 49 yard line with 35 seconds left. Clock stops after a first down, plus we know how to run tempo. We don't need an abundance of time on the clock to be able to score there. Leaving plenty of time on the clock for them would have been a huge mistake though.
Ok go right ahead and defend running the clock when you are down big. I don't think most knowledgeable fans will agree. Careful about accusing others of not knowing what they are talking about when defending that kind of coaching. Youre entitled to your opinion for sure, but lets just see how his decisions age in retrospect for this game.

Dude the officiating was so bad Fowler and Herstreit kept referring to it.
No way am I blaming the refs. We were not ready. But, I cannot recall announcers ever being so openly critical of the refs/umps and every call they were critical of went against us. Normally, announcers seem to do their best to defend them. A well called game doesn't have refs in the conversation.

Then I've got a 9 year old boy here crying saying to me, "why don't they try daddy? why don't they even try?" I'd like to see overpaid Heupel come help me explain this to a 9 year old boy about teamwork and effort on the field!!!
I’d like to see the UT administration and power boosters have to explain to your son why they have run this program into the ground with one bargain-bin hire after another. And now they have given top money to another second-rate coach, and we’ll have to watch as Auburn gets good again, as someone else hires Deon, as USC makes the playoff because they hired an actual proven coach, etc.

Team doesn't come alive until the finally 0:09 seconds with a late hit on a QB taking a knee. I don't give a got-dang if he is a Gator, you don't hit kneeling players. That's low class and peak thug behavior. Man up and go with class.
Florida QB was running around trying to use up clock so he can be tackled like any other runner. If he wants to fool around and stay up he should expect to be hit. That's football.
