Yeah. I can even say much about it right now to be honest.Gator/Outback/Music City/Duke’s Mayo/Liberty/Texas Bowls are all the same tier. Now granted (since the SEC offices, schools, and bowls themselves make the placements), it’s not guaranteed to be either of those specific 2 out of the 6 mentioned…
But at 8-4, unless Missouri screws up against Florida/Arkansas, Tennessee is high enough up in the overall records of the non-playoff/NY6 SEC teams that they’ll end up in one of those 6.
Do you not recall the kids we ran off due to their part in Pruitt's pay scheme? Then almost an entire recruiting class gets nuked. That's why we've got a gap in experienced players. Remember, Heupel came in and was in scramble mode in his first recruiting class. He's been swimming upstream ever since due to the NCAA slow playing us and not accepting our self imposed penalties. Opponents have been using that against us. Heupel needs another 2 classes to see his roster flipped. And let's not pretend that a top 15 class is going to "close the gap" with UGA who is reeling in top 2-3 classes every year. You don't go out and beat 5 star talent at least 2 deep with 3 stars and transfers. It's year 3, the gap should be closing. I didn't expect to win today but at least look competent. How many scholarship LBs were on the roster to start the year? Seriously, it will shock you
I'm going on record has to saying in 3 years we will be looking for a new coachDo you not recall the kids we ran off due to their part in Pruitt's pay scheme? Terrible excuse. How long do we ride that one for? Sorry to tell you but we aren’t about to start getting top 5 recruiting classes. We’ve been steady around what 15ish each year? Good teams find a way to win or they don’t. Same with coaches. I’d bet that our recruiting rankings aren’t about to take a huge jump. So what now? More excuses? Is it? We’re basically playing third stringers on defense and our o-line has never been good. The only unit that hasn’t lived up to expectations are the WRs. The rest are either crippled with injuries or living up to a reality that others refused to see because of one bowl game against Clemson that confused them into thinking Milton was actually good.
This. Last year was great, but it warped all senses of reality for people. They’ve forgotten that Heupel is basically rebuilding an ENTIRE program and is only in year 3 of that rebuild.Do you not recall the kids we ran off due to their part in Pruitt's pay scheme?
